Thank you for your posts, very helpful.

That’s something I’ve actually been doing! Opening up at a random Psalm and Proverb everyday several times a day (this lockdown has been good for lots of reading and praying)

I’ve another question
I was due for being baptised before the lockdown closed the churches. Who knows when they will reopen now!
Obviously it says in the bible that we are to be baptised so it’s causing me a bit of anxiety (I probably think way too much)

What’s your thoughts on this?
There will be a window of time left still to be baptized. Do not worry about things not in your control (the plannedemic, those behind the scenes will do what they will and the heathen rage, as God allows), but concern yourself with what you are able to do by God's grace. Baptism is a serious commitment, and must take place with understanding (Acts 8:26-40, 10:34-48, 11:14-17, 16:30-34, etc.), as it is basically like entering into marriage (Romans 6, etc). It is to be a permanent vow to God. (If for some reason you die, but desired to be Baptized and could not for circumstance beyond your control, Jesus Christ doesn't hold it against you, as He was Baptized for those who couldn't be)

Baptism doesn't have to take place in a building, designated "church". It can be out of doors (as most of those in Acts, etc), and can even be in the home (with much water present, like pool, etc such as at Cornelius house, in Acts 10-11). You can attempt to schedule a representative of Christ Jesus to come and baptize you, as Cornelius called for Peter. You can simply use a blow up pool, dug in pool, bathtub (has to be large enough to completely submerge all at once the person (you)), or pond, river, ocean, etc. I have even seen a horse trough used (though I do not really recommend it as it is not really "much water" a scripture says, and is small and cramped).

However, even with that stated, when you are baptized, it is usually into the truth that you know and believe, just as in Acts 19:3, but there may be much more that God desires you to know, which may affect you later (Acts 19:4-5).

There is more, of course, but these things ought to help you. I may be able to put up a video in a few days on the subject of Baptism which may help you.

#1 Nobody has a right to say who is and who is not a Christian.
#2. You may never be in complete agreement with a pastor (or your pastor)
#3. If you disagree and are not comfortable listening to this pastor, maybe it is time to seek another church?Especially since you said you briefly attended.

Go with your convictions.

If you feel led to speak to this pastor again about your feelings, I do not see anything wrong with that, just be cordial, and if he continues to disagree, leave him to his thinking and part in a friendly way.

Concerning the baptism , it is your faith that saves you not baptism. To be baptised is to be obedient to the Lords commandments. It is understandable with you being a new Christian that you are anxious about it, but my suggestion is to rest in the Lord, continue to read his word, drawing closer to him, do not stress, because that is not trust. This too shall pass and all will be well.

I will do that.

You actually answered quite an important question! I was wondering if it was ok to use passages straight from scripture in songs or not.

Thank you.
I have learned a ton of scripture that way and I’m very sorry the church has abandoned singing scripture in preference to narcissistic songs. There’s power in scripture and none in singing about us.

Hey @WithinReason hope you’re well today.

I’m watching this at the moment and I knew it was bad but this is ridiculous.

For anyone defending Kanye then please watch this documentary and you will see why we are trying to EXPOSE THIS BLASPHEMOUS EVIL!
Thank you. I am doing ok, how about yourself? I came across that video in my daily prophetic materials search, and thought of this thread again, and decided to share it (even though I am not Baptist, and disagree with some of bro S.A.'s teaching, but have attempted contact with him and his wife and ministry on several occasions to no avail about those teachings, so be it).

Yes. I will be posting scripture songs in future, and as they are posted, I will link to them here.
