Thank you for your thread. Anything we can do to wake the Christian community up is worthwhile.

Our Sunday School class did a study on the steps Hitler took to arrive at his murder of Jews, it has a lot of similarities to the steps being taken in lots of countries. In America we still are allowed home schools, disallowing that was one of the steps Hitler took. As a work in that direction, there is more and more control of teachers, allowing them less personal decisions in how they teach. A math teacher in a high school says she is feeling more and more like a robot, simply obeying orders with none of her professionalism required. The excuse for this is called the need to standardize education and they use some good reasons without letting us know the goals.

Hitler took these steps against the Jews, it is looking more and more as preliminaries leading to using these steps as an excuse to get rid of the Christians.
Excuse me, Mrs RedTent!

May I ask if you were in Germany those ugly days?

I doubt she was. But thankfully people called historians gathered that information so we can learn about history so we aren't doomed to relive it.

Thanks, Misty77

I would have liked to hear it from those who were there, because I have known several things from a 2nd hand, as historians and, by experience, I know people see some facts from their subjectiveness, their emotions or feeelings, as well from the political view POLITICS have set on history (as a political and strategic RIGHT) into those records (somewhat biased and not always fair accurate) as those who are alive and approachable...

You know "that" better than I.

Thanks, again!

You cant compare the 2 situations at all, its not even close. That isnt relevant to a Sunday School Class unless you wanna teach hate and fear.

No, I wasn't, but I listened on the radio as Hitler talked. It was terrible for me to know innocent lives were being taken and I was doing nothing to help those poor people. For a long time, as I walked down my street in town I would search faces I saw, wondering if any of them would have joined in the killing if they lived under Hitler. Hitler convinced many Germans to help him kill, it was terrible for me to know.

I met two people who explained to me what it was like to live under those times. One lady had joined Hitler's Youth. She said it was a wonderful feeling, the same feeling you get when you join with many people in a Christian camp for teens. They joined together in something bigger than they were for what they were told was for good. They marched together to stirring music. A man I met said that when you are hungry for food, you will do anything to get it. Hitler had done as our government is doing now, just printing more money when more was needed. There was no value in money to buy food.

Study history, and you will see that the beings of the Nazi party's power are quite similar to what we are experiencing now. I certainly don't think we are all doomed to be rounded up for gas chambers next week, but we do need to be vigilant. It's not hate and fear but observation and analysis.

We still have time! If Christians had been vigilant, they would not have voted for Obama. If Christians were vigilant and all churches were filled with Christians we could manage to stop the trend toward legislating about anything to do with morality knowing it is for God to decide about morality. We could clean up Hollywood if we united and boycotted all shows and movies that promote immorality and talk of killing, and those stars who parade immorality before us. We are still a powerful force, we are not using that power for good in our world. We have even let sports become something that isn't fun and games at all, as nothing to represent anything good. They live on the money we give them, the power they have by our watching and supporting them.

It is this power that our government is using as backup for the way, as history tells us, to laws that spell danger for us. If you read Mein Kampt or The Third Reich you will find that it wasn't Hitler that caused what happened, it was the people and what they believed in that let Hitler be.

It is happening in our world today, and many are denying that it is happening. Few are willing to do anything about it. If we wake up now, we CAN do something.

Numerous studies and reports are now available showing that anti-Christian persecution is on the rise in America.

In 2012, Texas-based Liberty Institute and Washington-based Family Research Council produced a report listing numerous recent legal cases showing that U.S. government agencies around the U.S. are violating the human rights of and Constitutional rights of Christians by trying to push Christian expression out the door and criminalize Christians for that expression: http://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF12H29.pdf

“It is dramatic,” says Liberty Institute Founder Kelly Shackleford, of the recent hike in reported incidents of persecution. “I have been doing these types of cases for almost 25 years now. I have never seen the levels of attacks like these and how quickly they are now proliferating.” Shackleford says government, from schools to social programs, is the ringleader.

“There are children being prohibited from writing Merry Christmas to the soldiers, senior citizens being banned from praying over their meals in the Senior Center, the VA banning the mention of God in military funerals, numerous attempts to have veterans memorials torn down if they have any religious symbols such as a cross, and I could go on and on,” Shackleford said.

It's gotten so bad that even the ACLU has begun agitating to stop the persecution of Christians which homosexuals and non-homosexual liberals in the U.S. are engaging in directly and also within their positions in government: The ACLU Fights for Christians

Several legal coalitions have also stepped up because they saw a serious need to do something as government was not only involved in the persecution but also failing to adequately protect Christians from homosexual and liberal extremists and their anti-Christian virility (A few random links to some of the many many occurrences: here, here, here, here, here, here, etc...).

According to some experts a pattern is emerging reminiscent of Jewish persecution in post war Germany. "Isolation of, and discrimination against Christians is growing almost geometrically" says Don McAlvany (geopolitical analyst) in The Midnight Herald. "This is the way it started in Germany against the Jews. As they became more isolated and marginalized by the Nazi propaganda machine, as popular hatred and prejudice against the Jews increased among the German people, wholesale persecution followed. Could this be where the growing anti-Christian consensus in America is taking us?"

Maybe we should ask the woman in Houston, Texas who was ordered by local police to stop handing out gospel tracts to children who knocked on her door during Halloween informing her that such activity is illegal (not true), and that she would be arrested if she continued.

Worldwide, Pew Research reported in 2014 that "Christians continue to be the world's most oppressed religious group, with persecution reported in 110 countries." They stayed that harassment against Christians for their faith extended to 151 countries.

^ In Brussels: Assaulted by gay activists, Belgium archbishop closes eyes and prays - International - Catholic Online

Open Doors annual report showed the number of Christians murdered for their faith worldwide almost doubled in 2013 over the previous year. Christian Solidarity International produced a global report indicating that over 150,000 Christians were martyred last year, chiefly outside of the United States. However, they asserted "persecution of Christians is on the increase in the United States."

This is just a taste of the persecution from homosexuals and those who wrongly call themselves liberal against Christians in both the U.S. and the world at large and all studies show that is rapidly accelerating.

The time has come to begin extending Civil Rights protections to Christians in the U.S. to secure their human rights and Constitutional rights and also agitating for the protection of Christians around the world.

I have to get ready for church. Peace.

We MUST recognize it is serious. I lived in government subsidized housing for awhile. I was not allowed to send Christmas cards that told of Christ to anyone in the facility.

It's not going to happen because we are in the last days, latter days & endtimes, and Jesus spoke of persecution of His children. He stated that these things must happen before His return. Jesus just didn't return to Heaven to be with His Father & abandon us because He instructed Apostle John to recorded the events before & after His Second Coming. Again, most Christians, especially saved Christians should know that Jesus will call us home via the rapture before the persecution really gets bad during the Tribulation Hour with the Antichrist & False Prophet ruling the earth for 7 years. For some reasons the christian churches are not preaching these doctrines for fear of losing their flocks and collection plate money. Do these present & future persecutions scare me? No, because Jesus' words comfort me. Most Christians are not truly saved and are not preparing for Jesus' call home. In reality, many Christians will not be ready for the rapture and will be left behind. We may not know the day & the hour of the call but we definitely can know the month or year. This is one specific event that will ignite the rapture but I will not reveal because of post-tribs. I am actually very excited about being called home and preparing for His call "Come up hither."
John was called to "come up hither", not you. :)

For some reasons the christian churches are not preaching these doctrines for fear of losing their flocks and collection plate money.
Actually, most are not preaching pre-tribulation rapture because it's clearly hoax. The early church never taught this doctrine. It was developed in the 1800s by Darby.

i would say that media is credible if we work at it. to get the news i start with yahoo news ...... that doesnt give much real news but it does tell me what americans think is important. this is usually something about one of the hollywood crowd and either a recent arrest or their lack of undergarments. from there i go to cnn for the "official" view then i look quickly at fox. i thengo to the bbc and al jezeera. every media outlet has its own agenda its up to us to try to figure out whats really happening.

Separation of church and state only exists in a letter that Jefferson wrote to assure a woman the the government will not interfere with her church.

Constititionally, the government can neither establish a religion nor conversely prohibit its citizens to freely exercise their faith. Most of the memorials are donated by private groups so it us private speech, not government speech. Sadly, most people are ignorant of their rights and will not stand up for them.

I get that but im saying Separation of Church and State is the only way to go to protect all American rights. We should be tolerant of all points of view. And i never said anything about the constitution.

So did Hitler. But the state is taking over what belongs to religion, it is not separate any more. The state has decided Christian thought is to be discriminated against, so anything that is not Christian is allowed in public places but anything that is Christian is not allowed. Muslim, Hinduism, Humanism is allowed, it is only Christianity that isn't. All this is done under the guise of separation of religion and state, saying it protects the state from interfering with our rights to our religious belief. That is how Hitler put it.
