what if Matthew 25:42 - 46 applies to the need to show love to gay people?
I don't think that scripture applies to witnessing. That scripture is how we address people in a missionary context. They are looking for food, drink, warmth or clothing, if we can help them: we do. The Gays aren't looking for anything, they just want to be left alone.

I think some people are being really naive about what gay people actually physically do to each other. And the consequences of their behaviour.
And yes they can appear nice on the surface. But one cant really ignore what God sees, otherwise why would he have wanted to destroy sodom and gomorrah. He couldnt find even 10 righteous people there. Seduction isnt a game its a deadly method to invite demons into peoples lives.

Lot got out by the skin of his teeth but was later the father of incest. So even his lineage was affected.

That is the issue ... do we love him for who he is or shun him for how he lives? He grew up Christian, and other than sexual orientation lives up to Christian standards better than anyone else I know. But I don't know if he really is Christian. And that alone provides a fork in the road in scripture. We are to love and welcome the sinner, but yeah like it was said above, a brother who has been shown correction and does not accept it is to be shunned. That would be the catch-22 of it all.
I have a fifteen y.o. gr8 nephew who is in church at the moment and is questioning his own sexuality.....so I am very interested in how God responds to this also!

Very, very naive and unless you have someone in that "culture" a person will not know.

Yes, it is all about not being satisfied with what is normal [and usually what they already have]. That is how perversion works. They claim they can have a same sex union and be completely happy. But once you give in to perversion, you are always seeking something new. That is why they frequent rest stops and parks.

Mr. Deade a doctor in ER would know, more than rest stops, I agree there is always the next level.
So sad :(

I wonder who you think Cain and Seth married? The Bible says Eve was the mother of all living, so in that circumstance they would have had to marry a sister or niece, grand niece, etc.

Respondents on this thread are not denying the need to show love to homosexuals - or to other worldly peoples.
The issue is very much about attending a same-sex union which some are happy to call a "gay wedding."
Then some of us called out that there ain't such a thing as a same-sex "wedding" only a profane ceremony that blasphemes
the sacrament of marriage which is God given.
And some respondents indicated that they don't see it this way and that they would attend and endorse such a homosexual
union ceremony and still regard it is as a wedding, and as a marriage.
And to date some respondents still have not called out the claim that same-sex couples can be married and have weddings
equivalent to heterosexual couples.

Please - stop with your primitive unlearned mediaeval Catholic stories.
The sons of Adam and Eve did not marry their sisters. Incest was never a part of God's plan and also is unlawful before God.
Cain went to the land of Nod (eastward) and there he took a wife.

LOL @Waggles I did not say Cain married his sister, can you not read or do you just like to twist everything? Your lack of logic in this matter notwithstanding, since Eve was said to be the mother of ALL living, Cain would have HAD to have married either a sister or a niece, or grand niece, etc, as I said, and there is no way around Cain marrying a close relative unless you deny what the Bible explicitly states. Also, the Bible does NOT say, as you erroneously claim, that Cain married in Nod. He knew his wife there and that is where she conceived. It can be assumed they married there but it does not say they did, so it could also be assumed they went there together as a married couple or that he met her on the way there and married.

Among Adam's sons and daughters, some of them would have had to intermarry with brothers and sisters to get the process of reproduction going. Perhaps Cain married a sister. If not, he could have married a niece, or grand niece, etc. At this point there were no laws against such close intermarriage. God had commanded reproduction and such intermarriage would be needed to obey the command. Intermarriage among close relatives was forbidden only years later. So much for @Waggles claim

From Joseph to Moses was 400+ years And I haven't got the time to figure out the time frame from Adam to Joseph. Moses received the law on the way from Egypt to Jericho although HE never made it. That was long after Adam and Eve were long gone.

@Waggles poor waggles must reject God's plan for humanity through Jesus Christ, since He came through the son of promise to Abraham and Sarah, another incestuous relationship.
