there have been distinctions made thru out the thread that two people can habitat under the same roof in a way that is neither sinful or gives the appearance of sinfulness... you can review the content for more information. :)
I did and it seemed the terms were used interchangeably. Most referred to it as "living together" but then others referred to it as "shacking up" so I got confused. But I understand now. :)

Hi, I am teaching my son who is 17 and never been kissed, to wait for marraige. It is so important to God because that is part of His plan for His children. Living together is the worst thing a couple can do because they are not being blessed by the Lord, nor are they being good examples to their peers. I'm sure their prayers are being hindered and the enemy is having a party everytime a couple walks in disobedience . It is sad and many Christians are carnal. They have one foot in heaven and one foot in the world. People don't realize that when your saved you become a new creation and need to live a different life than you did. It is all about a heart change. Some do not take God's word serious. I told my sister who is not a believer that I am teaching my son to be a virgin and wait for marraige and she laughed and mocked me and thought that was the dumbest thing. I know that society , tv, etc. has a big influence, but to me that is an old excuse. We are in the world not of the world and He who lives in us is stronger than he who lives in the world. Our influence should come from God not the world. Wow! this is such a great topic. Well I can go on and on. God bless you.

I too have a 17 year old son and I am teaching and encouraging the same thing. I think it is sad that sex is just part of dating now but it is damaging to give of oneself and then be 'dumped'. There is so much talk of low self esteem these days and i can see it is in no small part due to the dating scene. Intimacy is no longer given the place of high value but just an act, nothing special...but it is special and 'one night stands' is not what God wants for us. I know my son will have a tough journey but I pray he will not 'sleep around'. This is not just for his sake, but for the girls he will / would hurt along the way. <><
