Nuts! I have to spread the reps again, so if someone can, please rep Miri for this. And if you have some Christmas cookies/biscuits, she likes them too. lol

Miri, I got that right, right? Your biscuits are our cookies?

Yeah, biscuits are good (cake is better)

You might want to quit while your behind.....we are kind of talking women problems and this is when most men leave, or give us hugs and chocolate....

Not trying to be offensive
Just sayin'

My brothers, husband and son would have known the correct response by now.
I usually only read the posts where I am quoted. When someone criticizes me, I reserve the right to respond. I am trying to help. The Lord always provides a way. I am trying to help Depleted find the way.

Not once have I ever heard of God setting it up that someone cleans a very messy house nor that he gets someone in to fix all the problems.
I didn't say he gets someone in to fix all the problems. I said that HE fixes all the problems. He guides us. There is a solution to everything. He knows the solution. He shows us the solution. It requires that we follow. None of us is perfect at following, but the better we follow, the better life is.

I see one of three solutions:
1. Die before the house caves in. (The one I suspect is "the solution.")
2. The winning lottery ticket blows into my hand. (Given I tend to have my hands in my pockets when I'm outside, guaranteed that would be a miracle. lol)
3. Publish my novel and it becomes a bestseller. (I haven't had the conditions to even continue my search for an agent in the last year, and the vast majority of agents and publishers want to know what the next novel is, so that will require some quiet time to pursue, and I haven't had quiet time in 13 months. And the dream of it becoming a bestseller are bigger than the lottery ticket blowing into my hand. Average income for a published book is $700 as of five years ago.)

God gave a solution to Stephen, but somehow I suspect you wouldn't consider that a satisfactory solution. "the better we follow, the better life is," isn't really part of the gospel, unless you carefully remove all the apostles, Job, and the vast majority of OT people from the bible.

I suspect the Lord has another solution than the ones you have proposed.

Insulting me might make you feel good, but it doesn't solve Depleted's problems.

There are multiple, physical reasons why people get depressed. Fatigue, hypoglycemia, endocrine imbalance, certain kinds of diet, hormones! there are some things that dont' happen in your brain and the neurotransmitters in your brain, the synapses don’t connect anymore and you have some chemicals in your brain then you might need medication. You may need medication temporarily to get your body right so you can deal with the root issues.

Give someone a shoulder to lean on and you make them feel better for a day. Find out what the problem is and you fix them for life.
Hi Resurrection,

I understand what you're saying and I know you mean well, but sometimes it's just not that simple. God can fix anything and everything and He always does, just not the way we envision it will be when He does.

But even knowing the problem doesn't mean the problem goes away. I have lived with pain and suffering since I was 25 years old. The problem stays with me, but I've been able to learn how to endure the suffering over the years.

We can have joy when we're in pain and when we're depressed, we can turn to our Lord and Savior and He helps us through it. It's an every day experience and as we cast our burden on Him, He truly helps us through. But it's a process that's learned each and every day. The stronger we become in our spirit, the burden becomes lighter. But then there are days when it's still so difficult. At times it can be a step forward and a step back.

The Lord has a solution to every problem.

Then he cheated Paul? Because Paul's thorn wasn't resolved.
He won't necessarily remove the mountain that stands before you. He might instead show you the way around the mountain. You have to believe there is a solution for every problem and then listen for the Lord to show you what it is.

So when are you going to post a solution, or at least say you are praying for Lynn.
This isn't the BDF, Lynn wasn't asking for a sermon or for fishing lessons.

Lynn just ignore him.

I'm not sad. Things are going good, as a matter of fact, and yet, I burst out crying over the stupidest things. Until last year, I really wasn't a cryer. I mean, something bad happens, and I'll cry, watch ET and I can't ever get past where ET dies without a tissue, but I don't cry over every little thing.

The soap dish in the tub fell down and hit my foot. Worth an ouch, but I balled. Can't find a Christmas tree and cried for the rest of the day. Been like this for a year now. Use to make sense, when hubby was teetering on death, and then the hospital was incompetent, but he's home now, and I'm happy, and yet...

So, I did some research online and figured out I'm depressed even if I'm not. I know that kind of depression. It's physiological.

I'm still me. I read the Bible almost everyday, and talk to God throughout the day, but there's and anger and a hurt that pops up for no particular reason. Not much into healing ministries, (I'm being nice), don't see a purpose to see a shrink, (been there, done that, nothing changed except my wallet got thinner), so I'm asking.

Is there anything that can be done about physiological depression? (And, I'm not asking on the "natural health" forum, because I really don't believe in most of the stuff preached there. Also being nice. lol)

If there isn't, I'm okay with that. Just another thing God will change about me when I get the new body. BUT, why live with it if it's fixable? Ya know?
======================================================

your heartache will come to an end little one, when you forgive Jesus and yourself for allowing your husband and
best friend in this world to suffer what was beyond both of your imaginations...much less what you had to
suffer right along with him...it's not really Jesus' fault, but most times our own by how, what means
we choose to live...
if we don't think that Jesus knows how and why we feel the way we do, we are sadly mistaken,
and He gladly takes our blame, shame upon His shoulders, for this is what He does,
I should know, because we have lived the pattern and come out victorious, through the miles and wiles
of satan's ignorant tactics...

I'm trying to help her get to the root of her problems. It can be painful, but there are solutions.

When you see someone struggling with a problem, and you think you can help. the temptation is to try to help. Some people appreciate it when you do. Others get angry. But, nonetheless, the right thing to do is to try to help, and if the person gets angry, well, at least you tried.

No your not,.,you are ignoring anything she has said. Given blanket bland statements that don't apply to her situation because you don't listen...take insult if people tell you plainly you aren't helping...and then continue talking as if your "wisdom" actually applies to the conversation.

"Root of her problem"???

Sometimes the only solution to the problems in this life is death and being reunited with Christ.

Lynn knows this. Praise God for that.

What she is asking is not for you to pretend like you know what she is going through, or find the "root of her problem"..

(face palm)

Reread OP....can there be such a thing like physical depression?

Answer: yes hormone imbalance

From OP: life is going good, why do I feel like I need to cry?

Answer: might be hormones again.,example: old

Aka women issues.,,

Sorry if you find stating the facts insulting...

She is having women issues..would you like to continue to pretend to be an expert on the topic?

I went to my doctor's yesterday. She said it might be PTSD. I tend to think of that as caused by something extraordinarily bad -- car wrecks, war, and the huge stuff. But it doesn't matter so much, because I don't think it's unrecoverable. Kind of like I'm off my rocker, but the rocker isn't that far away that I can't get back on again.

Whew!
