why do u think Jesus said in Mattew16;15,17 but who do u think i am?Peter said the Christ the son of the living God.Jesus said blessed are u Peter for flesh and blood has not revealed this to u but my father who is in heaven?so u can see that fleshly things and spiritual things are very similar,but only those who are in the spirit can tell the difference.here is another passege and asked God to reveale this to u,because this is not about one thing only,this is about many different things and God has plenty of food for all of us in spiritual ways.Matthew 16;21-23 then Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him saying "far be it from you ,lord this shall not happen to u!"what Peter said to us in the flesh does not sound bad at all, it seams like a good advice but,what did Jesus said, get behind me Satan !you are an offense to me for u are not mindfull of the things of God,but the things of men.is it clear to u,why, did Jesus said this to Peter or was he litteraly telling this to Santan,read and think about it,spiritual things are not logical things for the flesh but they are for the spirit, tell me who abeys the law which is written the spirit or the flesh?if u want to move by feelings go ahead,but ask yourself this why did Paul said?we don`t wrestle against flesh and blood,but against principalities,powers against rulers of the darkness of this age against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. and if he says flesh and blood what does he means by it?for those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,but those who live according to the spirit,the things of the spirit.what are the things of the flesh?this might help u a little bit,corintians 2;9 but as it is written:
eye has not seen,nor ear heard
nor have entered into herat of man
the things wich God has prepare for those who love him.
if u are of the spirit spiritual food u need but if u are of the flesh fleshly food u need.

You didn't really answer my question.... One example you provided (the one about Peter saying Jesus won't die) kinda makes sense, but Jesus was there in the flesh, and as God. The LOGICAL thing to think is that if Jesus says it, it's true. When PETER rebuked JESUS, it became a problem.

My real question is HOW is God supposed to speak to you? I don't buy the whole "Oh, if you're in the spirit you'll be able to tell the difference." That makes NO sense. It's a circular logic thing. "You'll just know" is honestly a piece of crap IMO, because I don't "just know" ANYTHING.

things that we are used to, we think is a good thing.have u learn how to listen to Gods voice in silence,have u learn how to mourn when u are full of joy,or how to find the sweetness in the bitterness,have u learned how to rejoice in sadness,i know this are not logical thing for our human reactions,but u know that the scripture says it too,because if u learn to love God way beyond your human understanding u will learn how not to question God for what he is doing,because u trust him and know that he is doing the best for u,i know that anybody can taste a candy and say is sweet,or distinguish between dark and light,but do u think it is written in vane that he is the God that call things that are not, like if they were.that is y sometimes we ask God whats going on and that is because he works as he wishes.pride before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall,this mean that before u get one thing u need to go through the other first and this for both ways this for humiliation and for honor.

That is, God works by his words and he wants to have his word full in us so we can do as he does. This is what the Son of God JESUS came to give to us.The Bible says in Phil 2 v 10 a name has been given to us to use to achieve all we ever need. However, not many have received his word- to many, it makes no sense or not practiceable. Let us live by his word. God said in John 6 v 63, his words are spirit and live. You want to be a god, take in his word, push aside your brain with all man has filled it with and live by it.Condition your brain to take in this word. The life that makes things happen is not the one you have now, it is the one Christ's words want to give.

I'm still confused as to how these examples relate to my question. They appear to be random examples that don't answer the question, and if they DID answer it, it would be a huge stretch from the original meanings.

Amen i think you have understanding and the level you belief in God is what makes a difference,i know we all have faith and we all believe in Jesus but not all of us believe the levels or how far you can go in spirit even here on earth,so thats the problem some people believes that everything is going to take place in heaven where everything is going to be perfect,they can`t understand why Jesus said,if you believe you will see the glory of God.

sorry i did not know if you were a male or female and yes im from a non-English speaking country,never mind what i wrote,my best advice for you is to wait on the lord and he will give you wisdom and spiritual understanding,you are one step ahead you have a father who is a leader or in other words he is a Pastor so he can teach you or lead you in the right way.About "it has to be hard to not make mistakes"i mean that spiritual things and fleshly things are almost alike,thats why we make mistakes because we can`t tell the difference,if you are in the spirit you will choose wisely.
