They justify their political views by saying it isn't our place to judge, yet they place judgement on others who do not agree with them.

Yet the bible says those who justify the wicked is an abomination. Prov 17:15

Well as a democratic christian...while those things may not be right for me as a christian, I'm not going to deny it for everyone based on a single religions rules especially considering a good percentage don't even follow christianity. people can I grow up and make their own choices. They don't need people being the morality cops for them. Someone wants an abortion or someones gay? Well its their life and their choices.

What the OP is going is arguing from the particulars to the general. In instances like this, you have to argue deductively. People can always maneuver around singular issues, but not every issue all at once.

You can be in a party without agreeing with all of their views. Quite frankly the republicans are terrible on welfare issues and taking care of the poor, something the democrats do far, far, far better.

On gay marriage - there are Christians that support it's legislation and those against it for various reasons. (Assuming both agree homosexuality is evil that isn't a problem)

How often does a politician lie?

Answer: Every time they open their mouth!

It is only by one being a good liar and cheat that they will be a good politician, so, the more they lie and cheat, the better the politician they are! :p

So, this is why Paul gives the injunction in 1Tim 2v1-8 that we pray for ALL in authority, so even though they lie and cheat while in government, God over rides there evil and brings good forth through during their time in office...

Politicians...who would have them! :p

Best just to ignore politics altogether and let "caesar" play whatever game he has chosen.
Your vote does not really count, except to bind you to the caesar of your choice.

Trying to "stop the mark of the beast" for example, by voting for George Obama, is not only futile, but also a mindset that we can stop, change, or prolong God's plan to destroy and repair this world.
We're not supposed to be afraid of the gooberment. Set it in your mind to let it kill you if that's what you think is coming.

Joseph went to register and give caesar what was caesar's.

I would argue that your statement is only a perception in U.S. and not (tragically) a fact. I truly believe U.S. citizens who are poor just want a friggin' job. Not a phone or a hand-out. I don't think Americans have any desire at all to sit under the table like a bunch of pups and wait for scraps our gov't throws from their table. Unemployment for the poor "class" is more than 25%! That's worse than the great depression in the 30's! And all the while these democrat leaders walk around like they're the poor man's hero. Sad part is that folks buy it.

Republicans aren't terrible on welfare. We believe in personal responsibility. Not staying on welfare permanently. To willingly stay on government benefits when you have the opportunity not is letting the government control you.

I thought you were an atheist? If not how do you define yourself as Christian? What is YOUR definition of one?

Poor is a relevant term. The "poor" in this country live like kings compared to historical standards as well as many present day nations of today.

I never seem to get this answer from the " forcibly give the poor other peoples earnings" crowd, What is the INCENTIVE for these people who get free stuff from hard working people TO EVER GET OFF THE MYRIAD OF WELFARE PROGRAMS?

Why would they want to get off the program? They get free food, insurance, transportation, housing, education, cell phone etc.
They don't have to work. You aren't required to work. The government supports you.

Someone who follows Christ, who taught to love. Not sit around and force beliefs on people but to love them in their flaws. He provided them another way to live without their flaws and he gave us the same opportunity. I have no problems with christians offering nonbelievers that same option...but not to force their theology on the nation

I'm surprised that I'm still surprised at finding those who call themselves Christians, while at the same time they sow seeds of hatred and think they are justified in judging others. Both the poster and those who support the same view deserve reproof. It is time that those who truly love God start speaking out against such foolishness. Better yet. I would encourage those who are truly interested in glorifying God and loving one another to ignore the hate baiters and lift each other up in Christ.
