Sex is normal yes ---
Same sex - is NOT ---
Sex is only normal when people are married and don't bother others with it. I stopped watching tv a long time ago, especially those kind of programs. When they fornicate but you don't see it, it's just implied, I used to watch it. As if that is any better. It's all filth.

1.)Also to claim that homosexual activity is no different than heterosexual activity is not an absolute truth, either. If i am out and i see a husband and wife give each other a little kiss on the lips, i don't think twice. If i were to see two men do the same thing, it will bother me. I don't care if they're married or not. 2.) I simply find it distasteful, at best, to view such a sight. That's not me, or anyone else, 'pretending'. That is a genuine dislike for that behavior between two men or two women.
So the issue doesn't even need to extend into sexual behavior, as casual, affectionate behavior common among dating or married couples is still enough to affect people. And i feel certain God is going to be bothered when two men kiss or perform other acts of affection done under the banner of homosexuality. 3.) I don't see God being bothered by those same acts being performed by a man and woman.
1.) I made a specific reference to any sexual activity in a movie or tv show, not your individual person life in the streets. Lust is just as much a sin for heterosexual sexual activity as it is for homosexual sexual activity in the world of entertainment.

2.) Your personal distaste is irrelevant unless you’re making a plea for legislation that would outlaw a kiss on the lips between two men or two women but make it perfectly legal for heterosexuals (married or unmarried). Even then, this is a different discussion.

3.) As I said previously, I don’t think God sees heterosexual sexual activity as less sinful on a tv show or movie than he would if it were homosexual sexual activity. You can talk about what people do in real life, but it has nothing to do with what I said.

I never said what you said I’m suggesting. I said, “If running into programs you find stuff you don’t want to watch… You don’t have to watch it.” Meaning, watch something you know is wholesome. Apparently watching a show can be a type of “Russian roulette” as you don’t know what will be in a program.
But isn't that why they created TV ratings? So that you don't have to watch it to find out? TV ratings already exist by the way. So by way of your thinking, people have no right to try new things if they are at risk of being offended. And they have no right to have any sort of warning system in place. Like a rating system.
That would be a great idea though, wouldn't it? Well, i know you don't think so. It's not like The TV Parental Guidelines already exists or anything.

And, actually, you did say what i am suggesting, you said nothing of 'russian roulette'. To quote you...
That's like me complaining that every time I put my hand in the fire, I get burned. I probably shouldn't be sticking my hand in the fire then... or at the very least, I shouldn't complain about it when/if I do.
What about sticking your hand in a fire is a form of russian roulette? If you stick your hand in fire, you will get burned. Every single time. No questions asked. 100% of the time. No chances it won't.
Sticking your hand in fire is a guaranteed result. Russian roulette gives you a chance. In fact it gives you more chances to 'win' than to 'lose'. So i'm afraid you Did actually make things very black and white with your 'fire' example, and there is no sign, whatsoever, of suggesting that there is a chance for anything else, such as in russian roulette.

Of course this was, basically, all said in the lines below where you just so happened to not highlight.

So it is you that has brought in the sex aspect, and tried to argue against it, when no one actually said that was the problem to begin with.
There have been a few shows that show a gay couple during a sex scene and to be honest I don't think it should have been in there.
I would agree that all forms of sex on tv is awful.
Nope… The sex aspect was brought up before I even posted. I never said anyone was making it an argument of strictly homosexuality though. I was making a general statement that sexual activity ratings shouldn’t change because it’s homosexual in comparison to heterosexual sexual activity.

No, people have the right to do whatever they want when it comes to watching or not watching a tv show or movie. I’m not sure where you got this from… If you don't like how the system is currently set up, it would be prudent to only watch programs you know are wholesome.

And if I understand you correctly: You’re cool with the rating itself being the same if it contains anything homosexual, you just want the advisory listed?

1) Which, conveniently, you left out that you were the one who brought sex into this. You argued that people were saying seeing homosexual sex on tv was worse than seeing heterosexual sex, and wanting to prove them wrong by saying it's wrong either way, and neither is worse. But as i pointed out, and you ignored, no one actually said any such thing at all. So the issue of sex falls squarely on your shoulders. As does the false accusations you made against others by stating that such things were ever said.

2) Me sharing my distaste was part of the explanation of the overall attitude that others here are Actually expressing (as opposed to what you turned it into. Sex).

3) Well, it seems a dead horse statement, but one you seem to not want to own up to, so i'll state it again. No one other than you was really talking about sex at all. No one complained about seeing homosexuals performing sexual acts on tv shows. They simply said a warning if there was going to be Any form of homosexuality (as in non-sexual) shown. So you can continue arguing this point, but there is no one disagreeing with you. You are simply arguing for arguments sake. If you had not been the one to misread things and make this a topic about gay sex on tv, something no one else had done, then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

You're so gung-ho about arguing homosexual vs heterosexual sex on tv, you don't realize that it was never the topic at hand. Ever. Until You started arguing with people over it. Even though they never said such a thing. But i can see you'll likely continue this fruitless endeavor to be right, no matter how far you are from the facts. Words you typed yourself and are now plain for you to see, yet now ignore. Much like you've done with mine, as well as many others on this thread. This shows me it's time to move on. I've indulged your trollishness enough. Time for you to find someone new.

Well, as i wrote in my first post, this is all moot. They are not going to put any such warnings up because the agenda is to push for acceptance. So regardless of what i, or anyone else, thinks or feels on the matter nothing will change.
If i believed it was an option, then yes, i would be fine with a simple 'Homosexual material' or some such listing.

I am literally laughing out loud. You’re assuming meaning into something I wasn’t implying. I understand why you did now though.

What I meant with the “Russian Roullette” is that we don’t know what we are going to get when we watch a tv show sometimes (you got that part right), but if I stumbled onto a program that I am unfamiliar with and I don’t like it (my hand is getting burned), then I should be more cautious about watching shows I know nothing about because I am constantly getting burned by homosexual activity (or whatever perversion someone doesn’t like).

Nope, I never argued people were making that argument. You are free to copy/paste my saying anyone was saying that. I was making a statement if anyone did think that... I said this after reading....

However, I don't agree that just because a gay person and/or couple is featured in a show it should have a higher rating or its own channel.
I obviously agreed with her.

I can understand people wanting a warning for homosexual activity even if it's hand holding or kissing. I just worry this might become a slippery slope.

Some religious groups avoid all caffeinated products. Do we now put up a warning on tv shows if someone drinks a cup of coffee or tea? I don't see a problem with it honestly... but then another group will want a warning for some other thing they find offensive.

@ Ugly

Perhaps a better analogy is someone who goes to chat roulette. There are good people who want to talk with random strangers throughout the world. However, there are some crazy people who want to do unspeakable things instead of talking about innocent/wholesome things.

If a person is sick and tired of watching disgusting people doing disgusting acts on camera, they have two options:

1.) Stop getting on chat roulette
2.) Go to the next person and hope they are normal

If you pick option 2, stop complaining when/if you run into weirdos... no one is making you talk to people there.

I'd go as far as to say sex on t.v full stop is not okay... Even just like kissing and groping scenes.. I mean these actors may have husbands and wives at home, I always thought surely they get turned on doing those scenes... What then does that lead to.... Just my opinion though.. I think that we shouldn't be shocked to see gay sex on TV though... It's just became normal to society now.. Our opinions don't count in a world that preaches equality... We know that this is a deception but to the world it seems fair and right. Like when we were in our sinful states the way we walked seemed right because we walked in darkness.. There's a way that seems right to a man but in the end it's death.. I think in a world that says yes to gay marriage our voice that says no to Gay tv is just a noise.. Prayer is key... We need wisdom on how to deal with the situation.. Remember it's the individual heart that the Lord yearns for. Not the "Gay community" the more we spread the love of the father to these hurting people the less we have to fight our against Wether Gay tv is okay or not... :)

I would agree that all forms of sex on tv is awful. But it is a bummer that homosexuality is being pushed so much on tv without that part, regardless. It is done to make it a "normal" part of society, and lead to it being "accepted". Its a bummer that our world is taking this path.
It's something we really can't do anything about. If we take a stand were considered intolerant and we are the bad guy. The only thing that can change people's mind is judgement day and by then it will be too late for them to do anything about it.

As a follower of Christ it would be wrong to support it, so Ill definitely stay with my "I think its wrong" stance : p If the world hates you, its because they hated Him first.

And Im not gonna do anything other than stand on Gods word, I was not commanded to do anything beyond that : p
(In case some atheist person is lurking to one up me by pointing out verses in the OT about stoning a homosexual to death, Christ said "he who is without sin cast the first stone", and if Im guilty of sexual immorality, I clearly cant caste judgement on someone else for it. The condemned cannot go around condemning the condemned, so nyah beat you to it)

Also I dont agree with your last point at all. I mean I follow Christ now. There are many others who have left their life of sin (no matter what sin it was) to come to Him. There will be those who answer the call, and we should totally be there to help guide them. (no offense or anything btw : p )

Someone should put together a list of television that is Homosexual friendly. I would not want my children or grand children watching anything that presents homosexuality in a positive way. Gays, lesbians, transgenders are all sick mentally and this should not be encouraged as normal behavior. Does a homosexual list of TV exist so that everyone can avoid exposing our young ones to it?

I understand what you're saying (I have a bad habit of putting my foot in my mouth) I agree. It's still unfortunate that it's suddenly okay to be Gay. Like I said as far as the world is concerned were the bad guys here. But then again the world's always been pretty stupid lol. Like the Bible says it's either God or the world.
