God has blessed me with happiness at my age and thru stress and tough times. Since I don't have my parents, I'm sooooo blessed to have all the older people in my church family. They are such a valuable blessing !!!

My post was referring to a culture that dismisses age and experience, not something that was said. With age has come an increasing awareness of how our culture marginalizes seniors. It is frustrating to have so much knowledge and experience to share with people who so desperately need guidance, while being dismissed as irrelevant. Again today I saw a TV commercial selling a product that will prevent people from becoming their parents. This attitude is pervasive in our culture, and I think that is for a reason. One of the easiest ways to sell degeneracy to an entire generation is to dismiss wisdom. If fact, that is a necessary first step in the process.

I agree with you that this culture doesn't value the wisdom that comes with age, but isn't it so funny how these teenagers practically worship musicians, celebrities etc that are old enough to have grandkids etc only because of their celebrity status? Shallow. Stupid. Ridiculous. Ugh what has become of youth?? Actually, I'm being sarcastic because its not just youth that do not value older, wiser adults.

Im finding that friends and pulling out of sports that were fun, preferring gym to look younger. They are not wanting to relax and live differently. Instead trying to compete with the younger generation.
Im like party, but stop trying to out do everyone

This last generation where my youngest grand just turned 18 had better pray and thank God if us oldies but goodies left an impression on them!

While looking up how to spell Ingalls, I was just made aware that the Little House on the Prairie books were actually authored by the real Laura Ingalls Wilder about her life and family. The picture of actual Caroline Ingalls, is not as tempting. Maryanne it is! Final answer.

I would take Maryanne over Ginger too. Maryanne or Jeannie. Hmm. this may require some thought. The TV version of Caroline Ingalls was kind of hot too in a homespun kind of way whatever that means.
