I think I might change my avatar to Ham for a little while, just because I smile whenever I think of that day.
Ham is cute! And as young girls, we all learned how to darn socks. De rigueur. Those darned socks!!! LOL

This is what's so much fun about these threads!

You start out with topics like cleaning the bathroom, mowing the lawn, and doing laundry

And somehow, that turns into a conversation about toenails, pool boys, and indecent clothing made out of socks!:ROFL::ROFL:

And just to give credit where credit was due, I know it was @Magenta who said "yes" first to disliking all the chores listed :p, but I also have to give a shout out to @Billyd, who took the time to vote for every chore listed in the poll. :D

Has anyone ever considered making all clothes out of the same material as socks?
you know, I'm sure @seoulsearch is trying to stay serious here,
and I'm sure she doesn't want to turn this into another controversial thread,
(so my sincerest apologies here :LOL: um rather sorry/not sorry :p)
but cameron, when is the last time you went sock shopping?
I mean do you even know or realize how many different styles/types of materials are used for socks?
SERIOUSLY! I took my daughter sock shopping today and I don't know how long (not very long as I was in a hurry,) we stood there in the sock aisle feeling the fabric, ohing and awing over some of the softer, silkier materials.

NOW! If you're talking about some material like that then OH YEAH! Make them clothes with it.
But if you're talking 'bout that scratchy, makes the feet itch cheap material that some socks are made from, well then , um :cautious:

I just don't understand how anyone winds up with holes in the front of their socks, rather than on the bottom??! :oops:o_O:unsure:
Growing kiddos!
I mean, how many socks did we go through when those kiddos hit growth spurts and their toes got longer????
OH! footed pajamas were the worst for this!
Their toes would wear through the front, but they still had plenty of growing room in the height!
Ended up just cutting the feet off so many beloved footed pj's for that very reason.

Funny you should ask. I get socks on a regular basis because my kids like wearing socks with lots of designs or characters. They are good stocking stuffers.

Socks in socks! Ha. I get socks for my daughter too. She loved all the kitty cat ones I got her for Christmas last year .:D

They may or may not have looked something like this:

And speaking of foxes rocking in boxes...

Over the years I've found that the best way to manage socks is to always buy mine the same style and color. Saves time on sorting, and storing.

Our kids were always mismatching their socks, so we bought them the same style with different colors. Washed them and tossed them into their sock bin.

When the neck stretches so far they won't stay up, we tossed them into the rag bag or the recycle bin.

I dread those chores that are about to come when I kick back in my recliner, turn the TV on and Mama says "Honey".

I hate mowing. Unfortunately it is up to me to mow here.

When I retire I'm going to live on a plot of ground with gravel over the entire premises. I will spray weed killer on anything green that pops its head up.
So you are one of THOSE. It drives me nuts when people have ruined all that lovely lawn and garden space by putting down gravel. Its like saying, "I didn't really want a lot this big even though I paid tens of thousands of dollars extra to get it, so I will just destroy it."

Oh, and I LOVE mowing the lawn. Just so long as someone else maintains the mower.

it is true! it took me awhile to get there cuz' i was raised catholic & my mom was a horrible person. so my brothers & i had all this catholic nonsense b.s. conditioned in our brains. in 84' i left catholicism & retrained my brain & the way i perform chores. all by myself & then when i became a b.a. Christian, Jesus assisted me.
