Getting fed up and sick of this!

Always keep doing that which I shouldn't do anymore!

It's effecting my life and my relationships with people.

It's a horrible thing I do that I have no explanation for other than just being a monster!

I've prayed and prayed about it over and over again but it's like God just doesn't listen or something!?

I shouldn't be doing this anymore! Why am I not walking closer with God!?

Why doesn't He just intervene and do what I am asking for!?

Is it too hard for you God? Is it too hard for you???

Sort it out mate!? How many times do I have to ask you!?

You're supposed to be my Lord and I'm supposed to be your son.

Right!??

We're going live forever yeah?

We're going to be together forever.

So please can just help me out on this front once and for all!?

How many times do I have to ask you?

What are you playing at?

This is my life we're talking about here?

Does that mean something to you or what?

Sort it out mate you the one with all the power so what are you doing with it then?

What's the point in having all that power if you're not going to use it????

That is frustration on steroids, Fellow Believer.
I share your frustration and grief.
I wont speak for you, Prognostic, but for me I just came to the end of myself and told God that if He wanted me to change in that area, to do it.
But I realize I have a part in the victory, to NOT do that which I do. Have I overcome that sin or thing? NOPE, but I still work at it and let God do the rest.
I'm with you Fellow Believer. Don't stop believing and don't give up trying...

If Paul, who wrote most of the NT, had a pretty fantastic conversion and dedicated his life to God in ways few ever will struggled with this then it makes sense we would too.

Romans 715-20
15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

pray ,then pray some more .Fast if you need to .What i found lately is self discipline and capturing and rebuking thoughts which are not from God .I read the bible even if i don't feel like doing it sometimes .I pray even when i don't feel like doing it.I knock ,i push at God's door .
Then it might be that you have a sin going on in your life and God hides his face .
These come to my mind right now .
Don't be discouraged though .God bless you

Sometimes the Lord works your patience and there is no changing His mind. Don't be afraid to hope and keep asking.

Sometimes God says "no" as well.

Paul had the same problem, doing the things that he shouldn't do while neglecting to do the things that he should do. I believe that we all have the same problem to some degree or another. Fortunately, God understands the human condition quite well and I will say a prayer for God to assist you to avoid doing the things that you shouldn't do and provide the courage and determination to do the things that you should do. Don't worry, you're in good company in this and are not alone.

I know you're frustrated and pray the Lord help you in this particular area in your life. It's such a huge step to have the desire and heart to change.

Know that just because it doesn't appear that the Lord is doing what you want, doesn't mean He isn't working. He loves you and wants you to be able to make this positive change, but He also has something in the process of changing for you. Keep walking out in faith the change you want to be.

You're not expected to be perfect, we make mistakes, do what you can, seek help from someone close that you trust and that can help hold you accountable, pray and read the word. Just because you don't understand why it's not taking place instantly, doesn't mean it won't or that God's not there.

Take courage, you can do this, there is something in this process that will/could could change your life.

Praying for you. God bless!

Hi Prognostic, if it's an addiction, have you considered a group setting, with accountability? Confessing our faults one to another is Biblical, and getting face to face encouragement with those who understand what you struggle with might be helpful. Truly friends are a blessing.

"There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13).

You sound frustrated with God for not overcoming your sin for you? That's generally not how it works.

That sounds about right. I appreciate the clarity thanks!

I thought about you and your situation today, while at church. The whole message pertained to God being our strength. This was one of the scriptures we went over. It’s not an excuse to continue in sin, BUT I thought it’s very comforting to know that though we are weak, it gives the Lord opportunity to show us how strong He is in our life.

“ But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Lord is working.
