I'm sorry for your loss brother. You know where she is so take comfort in that. You will see her again. That doesn't prevent grief but it does make us able to not grieve as the world does, Without hope.

I lost my husband of 20 years, but in a different way. He said he felt like after I met God, that he was all alone. He said it felt almost like I was having an affair. It was so odd to me because just when I knew what love actually wa s and was able to love, he felt unloved. I think he was just bewildered by my not loving the world and it's things any more and just couldn't deal with the crisis of discovering that the things He still clung to as "happiness" were things I no longer clung to or valued.

I guess it can be pretty disturbing to see someone di e to the world.
Its hard for me to imagine what you are going through losing your husband to the world. Keep the faith, Jesus loves you and He is our hope. God's timing is perfect but often different for each of us. Keep praying for your husband and he may come to Lord and turn his back on the world. I know a number of women that have been in your situation and their faith resulted in their husbands being saved. Many blessings....

Amazing, I now know that my husband must have experienced this too, although at the time I was unaware of it, but looking back, I know it to be true. Now, it makes me sad that I did not understand this in time to do something about it, but just reading it has brought more understanding. Thank you for sharing.

I had the same experience as I had just lost my wife right before joining this site and hoped to find a certain measure of comfort. On the plus side I met my current (and last wife) on this site who is also a member. Hopefully this site will be a blessing to you as well. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.
Wow , Tourist, I had no idea that this happened to you and your wife, I am so glad for both of you!!

I lost my husband eight years ago to brain cancer. He was 44 and I, 46. It was difficult and we have four children together who were quite young. We would have been married 20 years that year.

But God sustained us and through it, He was and is being glorified. We all will face the end of our journey, but until then, as we are still here, God has things for us to do. We celebrate the life we were given with our spouses and yet we can face tomorrow because of the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God!!

Praying for you.....the days can be difficult but the blessings will be sweet....this I know!

Hi folks,

Recently my wife went home to be with the Lord. Looking for brothers and sisters who have lost a spouse. I'm struggling with this new season in my life. I went to the singles group but most of the folks there suggested this forum instead. Thank you.
Hello bondservant,
I am sorry for your loss.

You may never see this but I lost my wife in the summer of 2016 and we have five children. I know the loss of your best friend. No need to rush getting rid of things.
I recently started attending a griefshare group. You can look them up online to find one in your area. I didn't think I needed to go but have found it helpful. I would recommend going to help you understand and work through the grief process.

I will pray for you.

I lost the first three women I loved. You have my deepest sympathies. I always encourage others to remember happy times with their loved ones. I prayed for you, and will continue to do so.

Hello all....My comfort is knowing they are 'living' somewhere, just not in this realm anymore. My Husband of 47 yrs. was taken home to Jesus in 2017. He was a pastor, preacher, teacher but more than that a man that loved Jesus with all of his being. In Jesus, we know no 'death' for we died at the 'born again', the new creation, experience. We 'died' to never 'die' again. We just are simply taken from these house/ bodies of flesh that we inhabited here. That is the greatest of all consolations! The new creation that we are, inside these mortal flesh bodies, will never die . We are eternal citizens of the Heavenly Realm! Hallelujah!
