I just started working at a new company. I tend to keep to myself cause in the past people at work have betrayed my trust.I see a lot of hypocrisy, immature, behavior gossip. I strongly dislike that behavior so I keep to myself.
Three ladies at work asked me to join them during lunch break. I didn't want to be rude so I said OK.While we sat a pretty young lady sat near our table. They began ripping her apart.Mocking and criticizing her appearance.I felt bad for her . The next day I kept my distance from them after seeing how mean spirited gossip they were.
They got mad at me for distance myself from them. They along with another young lady began acting very childish. I ignore them but when they see me coming they form a clique try to intimate me cause I'm alone(loner keep to myself continue work) they form clique numbers to bully by intimidate.

Luckily someone there noticed what they were doing and offered advice. She said that I shouldn't isolate myself she was kind sat with me talking.

Too old for this bullying. Why would they want to hurt me just cause I keep to myself? Terribly sad. I 'm very sensitive so hurt.

You know what, some people just aren't worth bothering with.

Dont let them get to you, just be you and be confident in being you.
Do the job well, show your bosses and others that you are a trustworthy
diligent hard worker. Show them you are a grown up (they clearly are not!)

Over time the right attitude will gain you respect and further your career.
Be the bigger person and ignore them and continue to do the right thing.
God already has noticed and it won't be long before others do as well.

After all if you were a manager who would you promote, someone who was
honest, calm, a good worker, someone who was fair minded, who could get
things done. Or someone who still acted like an adolescent teen!

Lord I pray for celi, that you would give her the courage to stand up and do the
right thing. I pray she would be the example that others follow and she will
continue to show by her own life that there is a better grown up way
of doing life which doesn't involve tearing down others.

Celi, I would also check to see if the business has an anti bullying policy
or fairness policy. Many companies do these days.

I have to admit that I am flabbergasted at what people have chosen to call "bullying" these days. That was nothing more than typical office politics. It has gone on everywhere since people first congregated together.

Oh and one other thing, if anyone asks why you won't sit with these people,
tell them this. :D

Proverbs 17:1 NKJV
[1] Better is a dry morsel with quietness, Than a house full of feasting with strife.

this world is such a sad, sad, place, in so many, many, ways, especially when it comes
to people 'caring' about other people, families and all',.. seems like the 'GOLDEN RULE' is
becoming extinct...
we often feel so ashamed for others, when we read testimonies like this...
our hearts break in two, for there is nothing that we can do to change this abominable, human, trait;
change can only come by Spiritual Blessings, and our Saviour's Holy guidance, if we are desiring to
serve and Honor Him, first and foremost in our daily lives...

yes, it has gone on for centuries, but it is up to us, as 'called of God', to at least put a 'stop' to it
in our own individual lives, as we serve our Master...

bully:
verb
gerund or present participle: bullying
use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.

persecute, oppress, tyrannize, browbeat, harass, torment, intimidate, strong-arm, dominate...

seems like a fair use to me....

i know youre from a time where people had thicker skin

and youve been through enough to have met unloving people for it to not impact you like it may impact others....

but i know what kind of harm ive inflicted on others in the work place and out of the work place....

it may start small like back yard fights or pickin on someone until they submit

but eventually (for some) youre willing to murder a parent in front of their infant child for looking at you too long....

youre not wrong in saying this kind of thing has been going on forever

shoot....

youve probably seen half of it
x'D (jp brother)

but this woman isnt wrong for wanting to be in a more loving situation and to not be attacked (even if just verbally) without cause

and to celi

dont be overcome by evil
overcome evil with good

id avoid them bratty hostile chicks unless they come to you

maybe spend your lunches with the one lady they first picked at

and do your best to not harbor hate towards them

pray in your head if you have to

YOU may end up being a blessing to them God willing

"kill em with kindness" kinda deal

God wants them to come to Him too

I definitely feel they are bullies because I personally saw how these grown women ripped the poor girl apart for no reason other than her appearance. She was younger than them and had done nothing to them their behavior is inexcusable meann spirited should not be tolerated or excused it's wrong whether is bullying or not that behavior is horrible immature mean.

They are incredibly insecure, which is why they act the way they do, putting
themselves above others to compensate for their own lack of confidence.

They have targeted you now because they realize you are
separating yourself from them because what they did was
wrong, but they do not want to openly acknowledge that,
so they have to pretend there is something wrong with you
instead. Essentially they are punishing you for being better than they are.

I'm not saying that everyone doesn't prefer to be accepted and included. What I am saying is that we need not be so pitiful that we have to have someone else intervene for us, and force others to "like" us. And that is all it is when we enlist the power and force of a corporation (or a school) to bend others to our wills.

In fact, as I see it, THAT is the true "bullying." If you are not liked, then you are going to get a power figure to intimidate others into acting like they accept you?

God bless you. Thanks No name McGee.
Grown women gossip making clique at work feels wrong to me.Bad behavior that mean spirited that divides people is wrong . Calling it office politics instead of bully doesn't ever justify a ugly behavior that rips individual divide.something deep tells me it's wrong simply wrong.

a lot of people have very thin skins

i think willy has heard many cases of people not able to handle persecution in any form

just as we shouldnt offend others

we shouldnt be so easily offended

anyone can be loving to someone who is kind to you

but who can be loving to an enemy?

i hear what both of you are saying

and may God bless you too

(also not implying you have a thin skin or are unable to handle opposition... just i dont think willy is justifying their behavior)

Seriously. The world is not just waiting for you to grace them with your stunning personality. It is up to one person to learn how to fit into various social situations. And that person is no one other than YOU...... if it really is an important thing to you that you are accepted by whatever group.
