I put in a prayer request 24 minutes ago and nobody has even come in to pray, but somebody comes in 3 minutes later because they want to know why they are suffering, and 5 people replied to him. That tells me alot about this christian chat NOBODY REALLY CARES ABOUT PRAYING FOR PEOPLE UNLESS THEY CAN PUFF THEMSELVES UP WITH WHAT THEY THINK THEY KNOW ABOUT THE BIBLE.

Judgedebra, just so you know and you make a reality check...I wouldn't judge other people's behavior, instead if that is what you really think is happening instead of coming in here venting (which is really not helpful to you) pray for these people that "are not paying attention to you". You will get a better result if you pray for these people, and in fact, if you believe in Jesus you have a direct connection with your Father. Don't depend on other people's prayer (though they are really helpful) for your worries and troubles. He knows exactly what you are going through and wants you to depend on Him and have faith in Him alone. I will pray for anything you need though, you can count on me for sure sister, but don't lose your faith and hope because of the choices or attitudes of other people. And most of all don't judge, because we have a perfect and Holy Judge.

God Bless you.

I am not angry at God, and we are to judge, when someone ask's for prayer from a christian chat room, and they get no replies, that means I have to judge whether this is a place where christians come. Excuse me but where two or three are gathered in my name, there I will be also. And you better judge peoples behavior. I expect somebody to judge the differences of bad behavior verses good. The saints will be judging the world.

I won't get into argument with you, I'll leave your thoughts up to God. All I know is as a child of God I've been called to share with brothers in Christ love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You are not to repay evil for evil, you are to repay evil for good.

If it were in the chat rooms...I do not go into the chat rooms.

But if you posted it on the forums, I am just now reading through them after logging off last night...and am probably getting to it.

I do not know what your prayer request is....but I will pray foryou. God knows the needs of your heart right now.....I will ask him to touch your life so that you know He is real, and that His plan for you is real. Also that you know that His children are real.

(sure, there are some who are hypocritical in their thinking and actions....but that is not all of us...so don't judge us all by the actions of a few.)

It depends what shows up when the list is refreshed, some posts don't show up for a couple of hours unless you scroll through numerous pages which few people do because it's usually old threads. So maybe you should take a chill pill and calm down because people arent flocking to you straight away.

yeah, so you make the assumption that because no one publicly prayed for you that means no one prayed at all? & that on that basis you know for a fact now that every individual on this site must not be christian. so you ask for prayer, which can be done in private & does not have to be posted for everyone to see, but have a problem that people responded to an actual question that requires interaction between the people involved. i think you named yourself quite accurately JUDGE.
i do not pray on forums, or in chat rooms. personally i find it pointless, if i want to pray about something i'm not going to make a public spectacle of it.

yes, the bible says we are to judge the fruits of people, but it also says not to judge harshly, or you will be judged by the same standard. i think declaring potentially hundreds of people unchristian, 99% of which hadn't even seen your request, because they didn't give you what you wanted when you wanted is purely self centered & holier than thou.

Interesting observation, and I think you made a very good point. I wasn't here 24 minutes ago, or even 5 minutes ago so I'm not included.

LOL, just look at the snarky replies you are getting Debra. I think you might be onto something!

I showed some friends this site, and they perused the threads and were shocked at all the hate speech. They said it was worse than christianforums.com

People would rather condemn sinners than pray for them.
I've lost count of the threads about how America alone must repent.
Do they teach that there are Christians beyond the borders over in America?

I will find your thread.

Well I say about 10% of the users actually participate in the Prayer Requests forums, then about 70% just read through without posting anything, I only started posting there two- three months ago but i would actually read through mostly using the RSSfeed. Sometimes i pray, then I post that way God gives me the words to say. The prayer Requests forum is special and aint like the rest, users treat it differently. God bless

I agree with that, but it is also for reproof, correction, teaching and rebuking.

reproof, correction, teaching and rebuking concerning scripture and the sane doctrine itself. And if it were to be so I would have to rebuke you because it's true. Most people don't post anything when you pray for them. I do that myself. So what you are doing is actually wrong. In saying there are no Christians in here.

Thank you, But I am not condemning anyone, I beleive there are alot of Christians out there, but just far and few. Brings up that verse,
Matt: 7:21-23; 21. Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23: "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.

This discussion does bring up an interesting point. While this is the first time I have visited this particular thread, there are numerous threads which I open where I don't leave a comment. And that includes prayer requests. That doesn't mean that I don't say a prayer for the person requesting it; I just don't believe that there is anything I can contribute to the general thoughts.

I think that most of us probably say a short prayer for all of the people who need them, when we come across them in CC. We just don't always announce it (which can also come across as pumping oneself up). In some cases, I may even add a person to my regular prayer list.

What do others think out there? Should we always leave a comment, or can the people requesting the prayers assume that everyone who sees their request will pray for them?

sometimes people pray and don't post anything because they don't feel like they have the words to truly express what they want in your situation. Sometimes people don't look to help people but to seek help themselves and sometimes the people you observe may be doing things to puff themselves up but that doesn't mean there are not Christians on the site. that just means sometimes the quiet ones are too busy praying to post.

Either way if you ever need a prayer partner you can pm me and I'll pray for you, but truthfully I don't always come on this site to look at prayer request. I pray for the whole site and leave it in God's hands and then just look at threads that catch my eye and respond to people I've meet or names I know and some days I look to make new friends but it depends on how much time and energy I have after everything else. Either way now I have to see what you want prayer about. ...

dmdave I figure if a Christian looks at the thread then they say a prayer for me or the person who posted it, but I do post something when I have time so the person doesn't feel abandoned or ignored.

Very true Siz. Sometimes i just read a prayer request, say a silent prayer and move on. Many prayers have been made trust me. They dont have to be posted. Even the angels are praying for you. Be encouraged. You are not alone.
