Alex Chilton was 16 when the Box Tops' "The Letter" was recorded :D

It is one of few songs under 2 minutes in length to hit number one :)

^ ^ The Zombies: Time of the Season

^ ^ Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense & Peppermints

^ ^ The Rascals - A Beautiful Morning

This was the group's first single released under that name rather than the Young Rascals.

I remember seeing Jethro Tull in concert several years ago. My wife mistakenly told me that it was a tribute band to Jethro Tull. My friend who had tickets and invited me to the concert never specified whether it was a tribute band or not, so until the end of the concert, I was under the impression that I was watching a tribute band, even though I thought the singer looked and sounded a lot like Ian Anderson and he even played the flute while balancing on one leg at times. Not sure where my wife got the idea it was a tribute band. Finally, at the end of the concert, they announced the singer as "Ian Anderson," so I then knew it was not a tribute band, but the real deal!
