if you know you've been forgiven of your sins,
cast your crowns at His feet.

See that's the thing with Christian rap, you really have to be paying attention to what's said. Like Lecrae and the first guy, the starting over song, those are awesome standouts. But often I start listening and start hearing stuff like talking about making money, being in the fancy cars, ect. It's easy for R&B to get tainted with the worldly culture, but then that's true about any music form.

To be quite honest I don't listen to Christian rap because a) I don't always find it easy to worship to since I'm used to older stuff and b) I'm such an old fogie I often can't tell what the heck they're saying if it's rap alone XD

Thanks to ALL of you.
Many of these songs I've never heard before.
I'm not much of a rap artist fan because the lyrics are the last part of a song that catches my ear's attention.
Although I do love me some Toby Mac heehee

Nice seeing Lil Raskull aka RAS still in the christian rap game. Definitely one of the originals from the 1990s

Christian rap...

*sigh

My church is holding a block party in a poor neighborhood. They asked me to run some background music for the thing. But they vetoed rap. No MOC, no Shachah, no Mynista, no Level 3:16 even. "Play something like K-Love plays." Bleh.

So I want to talk a little bit,
I don't want to do any troubles
don't worry about it!
What I want to say it's just
that I don't really appreciate Rap
in general, even Christian Rap music..
Anyway it's just my opinion!
I listen French Christian Worship and Praise
I'm from Quebec!
I listen in English,
Hillsong, Holly Starr, Moriah Peters,
Matt Redman, Leeland, Chris Tomlin,
Passion Vevo!
:)

Each person has his TASTE!

So I'm probably the last person to have ever heard of The Wordz Project.

I realise I'm way, way behind the times here, I mean are Hip Hop and Rap even da same ting? Am an eighties gal so all rap seemed pretty tame compared with the only hip hop I flirted with in the nineties - ahem- Insane Clown Posse, Wutang Clan, Cypress Hill anyone (all my pre Christ boyfriend tunes, yeah, yeah, it was all on him, honest  - wow, so glad those days are looooong gone.)

Anyhoo, when I heard about The Wordz Project it pricked my interest.
But did you guys know that Pinlight Productions recently uploaded their documentary of it free to view on YouTube?
