So there are sooooo many songs and SOOOOO MANY TIMES the Lord brings something to mind I haven't heard in years that I know is ment to be shared. SO since there are to many and I don't want to over crowd out the lifebits, I'm going to try and post here (mostly, may still put SOME on lifebits) sometimes with a comment about why I chose the song to post.
Hard to pick what to start with, but I think it is this one:
"One More Time" by the Katinas
When I was about 15 or 16 I attempted suicide (if you want the story just ask......) Shortly after I went to a church where this group gave a concert and heard this song. It was as if it was meant just for me to hear. I listened to it on repeat for weeks after. I realized that no matter what was going on, with Jesus by my side I could face tomorrow and the next tomorrow and the next.

Your music, of praise and worship is a blessing wherever you choose to share. God in you looks good, Sis.

I NEVER tire of this one...... song speaks for itself (the more I study OT and the more understanding I gain from lyrics "past the outter courts, pass the brazen alter, pass the crowds of people, past the priest who sing their praise. I HUNGER and THIRST and it's only found ONE PLACE. ALONE WITH HIM) (even if being "alone" is in the midst of a crowd)

Some days start STRONG! Ready to face the world......others, not so much. Laughter, pain, ANY EMOTION, no matter who is around ANY TIME ANYWHERE! WE can go before the LORD in prayer(He hears your heartcries!)

I love this song..... what WOULD HAPPEN IF WE PRAYED!? Not just sat around "wouldn't it be nice if..........." but actually got on faces before the LORD seeking HIS TRUTH, HIS GUIDANCE (not whatever the current "in" person says is right to do?)

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I love youtube. I mean I get older songs stuck in my head and don't know where to find them, then there they are.......
This one I remember hearing when I was about 17ish-20ish. Thought it had a catchy tune, and truths, though it never sunk into me at that time just how much truth it holds. Another that I had forgot about because I hadn't heard it in so long. I included some of the lyrics, and my take is in italics . Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever!Hebrews 13:8.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Isaiah 40:8

"I've done every devotional
Been every place emotional
Trying to hear a new word from God
And I think it's very odd,
That while I attempt to help myself
My Bible sits upon my shelf
With every promise
I could ever need"
(I've done SEVERAL devotional books, Word for today, promises for xyz.... etc, trying to hear a "new word" from the Lord, "self help" stuff, all the while my Bible was collecting dust, at that time of my life not realizing EVERYTHING I was looking for was right there in one BOOK!)
We are pressed but not crushed,
Perplexed but don't despair.
We are persecuted but not abandoned
We are no longer slaves
We are daughters and sons,
And when we are weak
We are very strong
And neither death nor life
Nor present nor future
Nor depth nor height
Can keep us from the love of Christ

And the Word I need
Is the Word that was

another that I haven't heard in a while, literally just now "popped" into my head. Really the answer to life's issues is to just get back to the root of it all (JESUS!)

"Love song for a Saviour"
I always liked this song! I don't know how to explain it. When I was younger, I went to church, played church (even as a child I would "preach" to my dolls and animals, lol) and would just have this feeling of WANTING to be closer to the Lord, WANTING to fall in love with Him, but not actually doing it. As I got older I realized it is more than just wanting to fall in love with Him, to JUST DO IT! And I'm so glad I did! I'm no longer wanting to fall in love with Him.............. I AM in love with Him!

I first heard this when the Crabb Family performed at a church concert. I literally JUMPED out of my seat while listening.
STAND! HE WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH THE FIRE AND STORMS OF LIFE

Before Jesus was the first chapter of my life........ but then the page turned and Chapter 2 began......... here's the lyrics:

If like a paper back novel my life could be read.
With every turn of the pages, I would be losing again.
You see the curse I was living under, brought nothing but defeat.
Like a desperate, dying villain that was the life of me.
Then Chapter two the story changed another writer penned
Down his name.
He saw in me what no one did, took what was dying and made it live.
It's hard to believe everything you read, but the proof is
In what you see in chapter two.
Going nowhere in the fast lane, seemed like a road with no end.
I cursed at the sunset, hoped it would never rise again.
Every sense of emotion had vanished in me it seemed.
With the candle, burning at both ends it was a matter of time for me.

There was another songs lyrics running through my mind and when I looked them up (finally) and then looked on youtube for the song (by the same artist) this came up. I had completely forgotten this one as I haven't heard it in years.
The lyrics speak for themselves.
