I was listening to "Prayer" by Disturbed until I just now found out what the lyrics were about after I read them. It's so sad how some people think that God hurls evil into people's lives to beat them down in such a sadistic manner. I rarely feel the need to pray for "celebrities", but that song was definitely made out of a place of pain that needs to be healed.
Old news there...most lyrics to all secular songs are, for the most part, twisted. They have been for decades. I was listening to an old R&B blues tune from the 1940's last week and was 'shocked" at it's blunt sexuality, actual perverted words, etc. This is nothing compared to the lyrics of some of the most famous rock 'n roll, metal and hard rock bands of the 60' and 70's that I grew up with. You are just discovering something that most of us baby boomers yawn at by now! lol
