I love original LS. And Reborn was good too. There other stuff was ok, but went in a different direction. They never got 'bad' just not as interesting. So i guess you could say yes. But we'll find out for sure in a month haha.
i liked 'Reborn" better than the last album too -- i found the infinite order a little one-dimensional, hard to tell it apart from a whole wave of nuevo-hardcore bands in the christian rock scene. i liked the "death machine" EP that came out first better than the full album.

it wasn't "bad" -- but for example the new Extol was far superior in range & depth, musically. still looking forward to the new release in any case!

Saw those guys in a concert once. Heck of a show. Lead singer talked about Jesus. I was impressed.

This isn't metalcore, so no one an accuse me of being soft on this one. I love the lyrics too. Awesome lyrics.

The weak Devil fell, because there is no spear
which is able to pierce my armour.
Righteousness is my armour,
because I took Christ,
the army of evil will not defeat me.

Put on the armour,
be ready to rebel against the devilish machinations.
Cleave shadow of darkness,
go bravely to struggle against underheavenly evil.

I cleft rulers of darkness by God's Word,
because this is my spiritual sword.
I don't fear red-hot arrows of Satan,
The shield of faith was able to keep me.

Put on the armour,
be ready to rebel against the devilish machinations.
Cleave shadow of darkness,
go bravely to struggle against underheavenly evil.

I dressed in full possession of God,
and my enemy has lost battle to me,
Helmet of salvation is on me, I am girded by truth,
I have stood firm against evil in evil day.

Great album art! Is Living Sacrifice still any good?
If you liked Conceived in Fire, The Infinite Order just kind of continues in that tradition. You can definitely tell they had a lot of writing pent up because not all the songs really felt like they were one piece with each other like they should be in an album. Either way I still liked it, I'm expecting the new album to be more focused, and hopefully we can get to see more of the thrashy elements they had on reborn

For the most part I agree with you, I loved the percussive drive on The Hammering Process though :D

Heard these guys years ago. Not bad, but hasn't really caught my attention. I believe it's a husband/wife duo from NC.

Well since punk was okay.. I'm going to stretch things a bit with some Project 86. It's not punk I know. Frankly not sure what to classify them as. But I loved them up until Rival Factions (That album just didn't do it for me at all).

Andrew Schwab sounds like a cool guy to hang out with and talk about Jesus. He started his Tin Soldiers blog for men. He's big into men's ministry, written a couple of books about it.

And. There was this P86 song. P.S. literally stands for porn sucks. The lyrics are awesome, and translated portions also provided.

Nobody understands me
I, who know nobody understands me,
might be wise?
But when i talk with you over the phone,
for a moment I forget about myself.
I forget cause I want to forget…
I forget…
I want to forget…
I forget…
For whom does the word “Justice” exist?
To me justice is just the same with Satan,
same with Satan.
Those people are same with Satan.
I always think but that’s my life, what I can do?
What even I can do now?
I can be happy.
I want to be happy.
Would someone love me please.

Her heart bleeds

It is a basis for your heartfelt hunger so gaze
At the page at the faces of nameless...
You're alone again
And this distortion is an apt replacement for
An unquenchable desire for more
More pages strewn across this sickening floor
I can't look at this
I can't look at you
I can't look at me
Who cares

If they saw what those eyes have seen

Oh how her heart it would bleed
If she only knew those abusive roots
And how the children would weep
If they only saw what those eyes have seen
It always keeps us longer than we wanted to stay
It always takes us further than we wanted to go
But you don't seem to mind at the time

Begging to be set free...from what we were meant to be

Innocence

It's inside you and your soul is longing, yearning
Pleading to be set free
Within your eyes, within my eyes, within our eyes
There could never be a more complete perversion of what we
were meant to be
And with all that is in me I hate this
As we're sinking inside this ever-feeding illness
We are all quite silent
Sitting still

This was, in my opinion, the best album P86 ever did. This is also one of my favorite tracks on it, along with Steins Theme. After Rival Factions they kind of got back to their original sound, but after ...And the Rest Will Follow it just started sounding slightly bland. Drawing Black Lines was definitely a cornerstone in christian hard rock, and should go down as a classic.

This was the best P86 album ever.

I actually 'met' some of these guys in CA at a wal-mart. I was a cashier and they came through my line. I didn't realize who they were at first, but i saw them pull out this envelope with 'project 86' written across the front, and they pulled money out of it to pay for their stuff. They certainly looked the part. haha. Was pretty interesting.

I only own 2 Project 86 albums...drawing black lines & picket fence cartel. DBL was & still is a great cd that I don't go back & listen to enough, and PFC was the first cd from them in some time that I heard that I liked almost as much.

BTW Ugly...ty for posting that LS live vid. That song at the end when that double bass kicks in with that guitar riff makes me wanna bench press 500 lbs with 1 finger! lol
