What do you all think of the Walmart display in the shape of the towers? Another tasteless act, IMO.

That doesn't automatically mean that he knew, though. Kids do stuff all the time without their parent's knowledge.
She's a lonnnnng way from a kid!

In my opinion I believe they very well knew it would be offensive & cared only about the publicity. Had it been a reg sale no one would care or spoke of them.
It appears that the publicity put them out of business! Oops!

It was a hurtful insensitive ignorant thing to do....especially since it was so close to the anniversary of 9/11. I see people do hurtful, ignorant insensitive things to each other all the time. So now what?

I think too that the message it sends is they are a company that lacks integrity, and if they don't care about how offensive their commercial is in general, they probably don't care about their customers. From a marketing perspective (that's my career lol) that is how I look at it, too. If you're just looking at it solely from that viewpoint. Probably one of the worst marketing campaigns I've ever seen. lol Insults and mocking American tragedies, etc isn't a great marketing ''strategy.''

Why are there still stones in so many hands? Didn't Jesus already tell you how to know if you are qualified to cast any of those stones?

I'm curious......... which one of you DOES feel they are qualified?

I was thinking about how Jesus was upset that people were selling their goods in the temple and started flipping over tables. He was obviously pissed about it because it was His Fathers house. Have we made the twin towers into Gods temple? Are we justified in becoming so angry about some ignorant morons actions that really have zero eternal value?

Casting stones and choosing to not shop at a place that degrades the scope of 9/11 are two different things.

I'd say no that the twin towers were in any way God's temple, but I'm pretty sure there were Christians who were God's temples in those towers and were torn down with them. I don't think anyone took your turning over the mattresses statement literally.

I looked up a video on that on youtube, and read the comments. the vast majority of the comments seemed to be angry that people would be upset by it, like as if the coke display wasnt anything to be offended about, and that people who were offended were just doing it for the sake of people seeing how much they "care".

Im usually sorta on the look out for those types of people too : p But with this one, I felt like Coke was just using the event to push their brand name. I mean, the sign said "We will never forget. 9/11. (Coke-a-Cola)", and had their product on sale. I thought it was an incredibly lame thing to do.

Though that is what corporations do anyway : p Even when they give some amount of their profit to charity, well be the first to hear all about how they did that wonderful thing : p So I guess its no surprise that these companies are finally starting to use this tragic event to get their name out there and show us how much they "care".

Im aware, actually, but I feel the need to show that my posts are more playful and junk, and before I started using that emote I was known for being the person who said "haha" in every sentence ever : p

When I first started socializing online my posts always came off so bland and serious and I had a hard time getting people to interact with me until I started using "haha" or ": p", and now I cant post online without them : p

I'm not going to lie I chuckled a bit. I guess my opinion on the matter is different from others.
Pal, you represent the hour we live in. Did you lose a loved one on that day? I didn't think so. I warn you to find a place to beg God's forgiveness for you callous and flippant mind set. A heart of stone.

I witnessed a gas truck collision with a car that had a mom and two children in it. All died in the flames including the truck driver. I was 15 at the time and i knew i was an odd ball in the crowd. Because I was horrified and sick. In the crowd of adults one guy chimed in 'hey, this is the most excitement we've had since the Millard days parade.'.

I could not believe what this 'mature' adult just said. I was frozen. Then a young boy piped in with humor singing 'Look at the crispy critters'. Was i at the Roman coliseum? I told you 'i dont fit in on this planet with the lost or saved'.

We can give slack to this stupid kid's remark for he was a kid. Well this kid found out later that in the burning car was his mom and two brothers.

But that adult, so called! What goes around, comes around by God's design, if losers like this don't repent in remorse for their monstous attitudes.

Nautilus, im hitting you hard on this and others that treat this lightly and careLESSly along with any other human disaster. We are commanded not to gloat or chuckle over the destruction of anyone. Proverbs 24:17.

God does NOT take pleasure in the death of even the wicked, Ezekiel 18:23.

So you need to repent of this wickedness lest the same thing come upon you. Luke 13:4. I mean it.

Ive lived and seen this happen over and over to the callous.
