Speaking of white knuckle driving we had a bridge go down after a ship hit the decaying pilings and cars drove off into the water and some landed on the ship, ....the bridge was the sunshine skyway in St. Petersburg, FL... Anyway for quite a while the span just hung there and I had an Aunt living in Bradenton and I had to drive on the other span left that they made two way instead of two spans one way each....
Well it was raining and I held onto the steering wheel so tight that I had marks in my hands by the time I got across the bridge cause it was just spooky to drive in pouring rain and see that span and part of the bridge gone....
This happened thirty years ago.....it was horrible.

ANNANDALE, N.J., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A New Jersey woman said she found an unusual treatment for her rescue goat suffering from anxiety -- dressing the small animal in a child's duck costume.
Leanne Lauricella, who runs the Goats of Anarchy rescue group in Annandale, said a baby goat named Polly recently came to live with her and she soon realized the goat, which suffers from blindness and neurological issues, frequently displayed signs of severe anxiety.
Lauricella sand Polly will run around the house crying loudly if she can't find her owner, and will "find a corner of a wall in the house, and she'll just start sucking on the wall," "So all the corners in our house have these little suck marks from her mouth," Lauricella told The Dodo.
She said the solution came in the form of a child's duck costume -- complete with a hood and a pair of flippers -- she bought at Marshalls because she thought it would make for a cute Halloween photo.
"As soon as I put it on her, she just instantly got calm," Lauricella said. "There's something about that duck costume that calms her. She goes into a little trance. She just closes her eyes and she's out."
The duck costume has made Polly a viral celebrity on social media, as well as a favorite of locals who see Polly around town with Lauricella.
Lauricella said Polly will soon outgrow the duck suit, but she now has numerous other costumes and is working on her anxiety issues with another new arrival to the rescue, a baby goat named Pocket.
"When Pocket came home, I laid him on [Polly's] back ... and it just calmed her right down and she went to sleep," Lauricella said. "It was almost like that duck costume. I've noticed that anytime he's lying next to her, she just gets calm. I've never seen her do that with another goat here."

Friendly Otter Jumps Onto Kayak, Joins Birthday Celebration

They went by to watch them from a distance of at least 50 feet when one of the otters began swimming toward her husband's kayak and jumped right onto it.
Koester says the otter plopped into the front of the boat, rolled around, scratched his belly and ears and nibbled on rope and his shoes.
He says it appeared the otter "was having a good time."
Koester says the otter was at least 80 pounds and stayed on the kayak for at least 10 minutes until. After he started paddling, the otter jumped back into the water.

For about 2 minutes yesterday I thought maybe our world had changed... the Tourist world. Got a phone call saying they were from the unclaimed prize department of the Publishers Clearing House and We had won 3.5 Million dollars plus a car but just needed to show proof of our claim numbers and pay FDIC $499.00 which we would get back right away when they came to the house to give us our check. That they call ahead of time so that someone is really home. Did I want it to be a public or private award?
Now Blond wasn't born yesterday and although they were saying all the things anyone who needs money would like to hear I was busy on the computer at the same time on the phone looking up the question... Does the Publishers Clearing House people call to notify of a win? Guess what? THEY DON"T and this was a scam artist on the phone talking to beat the band of the wonders of the money we had just won....
Not only do they not email, phone you when you win... Publishers Clearing House will NEVER ask you for money on your winnings or in order to get your winnings it is completely free and by surprise.
So I post this just to let all of you know out there that there really is a scam going around trying to con folks out of money using Publisher's Clearing House name. So as the Blond was informing the guy on the phone that I had caught him in a scam all of a sudden the phone line went dead.....as in silence from the other end.... Hummmm Wonder where he went? lol

Adorably rotund miniature horse gets a high-energy workout with inflatable ball
WEST BRIDGFORD, England, Dec. 2, (UPI) - A British horse enthusiast shared video of her horse portly miniature horse working off some of his pounds with some high-energy exercise ball playtime.
Brittany Sparham posted a video to Instagram showing Basil the horse, who is miniature in stature but perfectly robust in circumference, getting in some exercise by playing with a large inflatable ball.
Basil pushes, chases, and jumps on the ball during his whirlwind playtime, showing off some impressive energy levels for an animal of his size.
Sparham said Basil wore himself out playing with the ball and needed a nap directly following his playtime.

Karen Klein, Eric Klein, and their 10-year-old son Isaac set out on a family trip to the Grand Canyon, using a GPS as their guide, when they wound up driving down a walking path and having their car get stuck in the mud.
