I miss unbiased news.... Now days it leans left or right... I miss the days when facts were checked and the news meant something was being reported.

Now days it is tilted so far left or right as to be no more than political propaganda for one Party or the other.

Funny that Jesus would rather you be hot or cold...yet you got Christians on this very site parading themselves around as oh so virtuous as being neither.

And maybe there is some sense of altruistic reasoning behind it. But only a fool thinks they can bridge the gap between the battle of good and evil that's happening before our eyes. You gotta pick a side. It might get to the point where you only have one choice and it'll be the one you don't like.

I'd like to apologize to all the Republicans out in CC land. The truth is I don't like Trump for president and that is o.k. for me to not like him. It is not o.k. for me to hate him or have hatred or animosity toward his followers. For that I am truly sorry. I have behaved badly and un-Christ like.

I have posted my Blond opinion and this is my last political post in that if Trump brings Jesus back sooner then maybe I should change my stance to like what he will do toward that end as I do want Jesus to return with all my heart. I am going to pray that God takes my hatred away and let Him work on me. As my ultimate goal in life it to be like Jesus.

So sorry for any hurt feelings, toes that were stepped on, anger I may have caused to rise in your hearts or mine and I am laying to rest the election of 2016 in my heart. For me it's over.

Wow! Took me almost 6 yrs before I could say anything close to your beautiful , loving post about Obama and his followers!
2 weeks is amazing.
No hurt feelings though. Politics is a rough, contact sport. God bless you!

Me too. I remember when news was sterile, nothing but facts and everything was carefully said so that it would not imply support for any side or opinion. Now its just the opposite. :(

I know what you mean. I've learned to mostly keep quiet and remind myself that no matter what anyone says or thinks, God is ultimately in control of what happens.

Amen sister. Four years ago the Lord put on my heart to quit facebook as it became completely devoid of fruit, and relationships suffered over contentious political and religious issues.

I have been praying about reading MUCH less news, as it almost always just gets me frustrated, or happy that the other side is angry and frustrated on various news articles.

Not the way I should be renewing my mind.

In one of the best teachings he has given in months, our preacher addressed this political animosity Sunday.

I invite you who are seriously upset about this to give a listen:
Sermons - St. Pete Vineyard

It is REALationships PART 1

It starts off a little slow, but he really gets to the heart of the matter after ten minutes, or so.
Although it may not sound like it, this is about as 'rough' as Chris ever gets.

Thanks for sharing Willie.... I'm just tired of all of it and several friends and family all in an uproar I love my people too much to let politics kill the relationships it's just not worth it. If I can keep my friends and family together what should I care if the world blows it's self up? God is in control not me so I'm gonna keep my family and friends.

Just finished listening to the sermon you posted from your pastor Willie and it was/is excellent and I praise God that He had me come to that very conclusion before I ever heard the sermon.

Isn't God wonderful to work on different peoples hearts to come to the same conclusion without ever knowing each other. The way your pastor spoke is exactly how I feel in my heart.

Again thanks for posting it and I highly recommend that all folks that are going at each other in the political threads listen to it as it is well worth the time.

Thank you. And you are very welcome. Chris is probably the most down-to-earth teacher I have ever listened to. He really tells it like it is... about most everything. He's not hampered by trying to sound like a preacher.

============================================

if we seek to achieve Christ's -Peace, the world will say that it comes with to great a price -

'Baubles-are-Cheap', but they apparently are held in 'high-esteem'...

Tourist, we have to learn and accept our 'separateness' - we are ALL-IN an 100%,
and definitely we don't want to 'look/go-back'...as Lot's Wife...

PHI. 3:13-14-15.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded,
God shall reveal even this unto you.

[h=3]London rail tunnel project unearths ancient artefacts[/h]
A project to build a new rail tunnel in London has turned into an archaeologist's dream. Artefacts dating back thousands of years have been discovered during the construction of the line, known as Crossrail, unearthing layers of the city’s history. Now, 500 of the most interesting objects are on display at the Museum of London, including a 16th century bowling ball, ice skates made of animal bones and a Roman pot, which holds cremated remains. "London really is like a layer cake of history of the city from the Roman levels through the medieval, the only modern period into the more recent centuries," Jay Carver, lead archaeologist for Crossrail, told Al Jazeera. The construction of the 42km tunnel, ...

[h=3]Rev. Graham Warns: 'God Uses Extreme Vetting'[/h]

Rev. Franklin Graham. (BGEA) If you want to reach the Promised Land and "enter the gates of Heaven," you must believe in Jesus Christ who "stamped and sealed" your "immigration status in Heaven" with His own blood, said Rev. Franklin Graham, son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham. You cannot "immigrate" from this earthly world into Heaven without faith in Christ, who employs "extreme vetting," he stressed. In a Feb. 8 post on Facebook, Rev. Franklin Graham said, "I’m on my way to Puerto Rico—to warn people that God uses extreme vetting." "What do I mean by that?" he said. "I want the people of Puerto Rico to know that God loves them and that there is only one way to enter the gates of ...
