a petition to impeach Trump for clear violations of the emolument clause has reached over 400,000 signatures in only a few days, and continues to grow.
several lawsuits are filed and/or in process against him for similar breaches of trust. it was touted during the campaign that a Clinton in the white house with possible legal trouble would be an unthinkable thing for the American people to do -- but Trump is facing a lot of legal problems himself
While Trump is so beloved by the far right members of this forum, he has proven himself to be, let us say, just a bit unpopular by other segments in society:
Days until achieving MAJORITY disapproval from @Gallup
Reagan: 727
Bush I: 1336
Clinton: 573
Bush II: 1205
Obama: 936
Interestingly, there is a yuge petition to keep the British government from welcoming Trump in the UK:
More than 500,000 people have signed a petition calling for the US President to be prevented from making a state visit to the United Kingdom, in just a few hours.
Thus, Trump is at a record pace to become the most unpopular president in history. But, as I have written here before, let us give him his chance to prove whether his ideas have any real value.
Your conservative hero Bush was quoted as saying God told him to invade Iraq and to save the world from WMD. Tens of thousands have died. Anyone who defends that is goofed in the head.
Yeah, Jesus was definitely what we'd consider a moderate in our system of politics. Whatever he was doing it fit the situation and it wasn't always politically correct to do so.

Well the approval ratings and opinion polls are done by the same people that did them for the election, and well we saw how wrong they were lol.
Though I do think you have an excellent point about the great battles between the far right and the far left always trying to kill each other in spirit and quite physically. As one whom voted neither Hillary nor Trump, and forged defenses and attacks against both, I have to say I'm pleased with the result and with Trump. Even just as when Obama won I was pleased with that by comparison to his competition.
Don't ya'll know all we got is each other?
We ain't gonna get another peace frog. We ain't gonna get another Trump toad. Jesus gave us each other and he gave us Trump. And even those whom have shamefully been thrust out of CC just for politics, Jesus gave us them too, return them!

Every Pope since the days of Vatican II (and even before then) consider Jesus as a champion of liberal causes. Every liberal church here in the Twin Cities and in NYC agree with that belief.

Such an open display of bigotry and intolerance!
Strange how some forum right wingers accuse libs of being intolerant but conveniently ignore when their side openly does it.
Anyone who has read the news knows that nobody on earth has been more pro life than has the liberal Catholic church. Funny how right wingers accuse it of deviating from that pro life message.
