Matthew 5:22King James Version (KJV)

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

same word...
Ya...I don't trust your interpretation. Seems a little emotion based. Notice that little "without cause" verbiage.

lol spiritually, you have no point in calling them something on the other hand.
answer the question.....Jesus insulted them. What was His point? Shouldn't he have conquered them with love?

I like that Jesus seemed to contradict himself. On the one hand he was approachable and cool and on the other He didn't take any crap from morons or when people acted moronically.

Heh, yeah, you spend a couple of seconds making a post someone objects to and they spend the next almost half an hour telling you why you should be respectful to those you disagree with while being disrespectful to you. Something doesn't add up.

1 Corinthians 10:23King James Version (KJV)

23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
It's quite expedient to correct dude.

just saying you "being you" doesn't seem to add any good the way you talk. so whats even the point of you talking, besides being carnally minded.
Brother Sirk and I are friends outside of CC. He has the love of God in him. Don't let righties indignation on his part muddy the waters of your otherwise sound judgment.

I thought the same thing... but the other seems to have had a leftist agenda :p

I wish people could be honest about that. I'll just say for the record that my agenda is liberal in the classic sense.

Label label label. I quote Alastair Sim from that famous classic Christmas movie :D Ah, yes, well, one person here has called me a few names related to right wing conservatives but the fact of the matter is I have never in my life voted Conservative. Canadian politics are different than what you guys have down there, but I still have never voted conservative. :)

So agree sis, casting wide liberal labels and lumping large swaths of humanity into categories is lazy man's logic. Sadly, it is highly effective, throw in some well trained methods of shunning and passive agression and you adequately shut down critical thinking and open discussion with a bonus track of stirring false guilty emotions.

Thank you very kindly, brother :) If they were trying to make me feel guilty, they failed abjectly :D

theres that word again...

◄ 3474. móros ►
Strong's Concordance
móros: dull, stupid, foolish
Original Word: μωρός, ά, όν
Part of Speech: Adjective
Transliteration: móros
Phonetic Spelling: (mo-ros')
Short Definition: stupid, foolish
Definition: (a) adj: stupid, foolish, (b) noun: a fool.
HELPS Word-studies
3474 mōrós (the root of the English terms, "moron, moronic") – properly, dull (insipid), flat ("without an edge"); (figuratively) "mentally inert"; dull in understanding; nonsensical ("moronic"), lacking a grip on reality (acting as though "brainless").

[This root (mōr-) "properly refers to physical nerves causing one to become dull, sluggish (so Hipp., Aristotle); used of the mind, dull, stupid, foolish" (Abbott-Smith); "flat/insipid" (WS, 1062). 3474 (mōrós) is used ironically of apparent stupidity in 1 Cor 1;25,27, 3:18.]
