I'm assuming they must have recently changed some of their policies because the last of his thing I read was that Walmart cost taxpayers almost a billion dollars per year due to their low wages and lack of iving benefits
Many Walmart employees do receive different government benefits ( food stamps, SS, disability, etc), but would be in even more need if it were not for Walmart giving these people the opportunity to work and better their lives. Many retired people who can not live on their SS benefits work for Walmart and are thankful that Walmart helps them survive.
There are many Walmart employees in our local Walmart that are considered "unemployable" by many companies for various reasons.
Before some one start condemning a company for how it treats and pays it's employees, they should talk to those employees. Not the ones in the streets, but the ones with the smiling faces doing the work in the stores.
