The whole Obomneycare debate makes me laugh.

When Nancy Pelosi stuck her head up her mouth and said "we have to vote on it to see what's in it", she (and all the others who voted for it without reading it) we rightfully raked over the coals. Yet, out of all the people I know who are so adamately against it, not a single one of them have read it either. I think people like that should go spend 15 minutes in the corner with ol' Nancy.

Have I read it? No, I haven't. Do I think it will work? Have no clue. From what I've seen so far, it seems reasonable enough. I can buy insurance from the already existing private companies directly, I can now shop for them side by side on the Obamneycare websites, or I can still mooch off the public teat (Compared to the cost of major medical care, the fines are minscule and only go up to the cost of buying the insurance anyway). I think the premiums so far haven't come down, that may be dependent upon how many people do sign up (free market pricing how liberal of them) and coverage on the lesser plans still leaves one having to dig for it. What do I know for sure? That what we had wasn't working, not unless you are rich, which a large and growing number of us are not. And yeah, can the Government be trusted with what just may even be a good idea?

Really? Obamacare is worse than slavery?

Obama care is low cost insurance for the uninsured. The bronze plan is half of the insurance cost that I am currently paying. If you decide that you prefer to stay uninsured, the penalty is 95 dollars a year. The reason they are charging this small amount is to offset costs when the uninsured need emergency medical assistance.

I have watched health care costs for my family go up each year at a rate that out paces inflation by a staggering amount. One of the reasons I am forced to pay more is to cover the uninsured when they show up with life threatening conditions. By law, a hospital must accept them and that cost is deferred to those who are responsible enough to pay.

Soninme claims there is no free healthcare and he is right, in that some one will have to pay that bill. Here in Los Angeles we have county hospitals who will treat anyone, even if they can not pay and most do not. I knew one man who had 5 children delivered at the County Hospital and never paid a dime.

So in my opinion, health care needs to be radically changed as the current system is broken by free loaders who refuse to pay-- but they have no problem dialling 911 and becoming a burden on the system.

I wonder if this man would agree that Obamacare is worse than slavery? I doubt it...

we may not be beaten over obamacare but with government controlled healthcare our well being is in the governments hands. We are slaves to this junk. The one advantage that slavery had on us today is president Lincoln helped end slavery. President Obama promotes it.

I'd like to see that information so I can qualify it. One thing that will be slightly different is that the U.S. can print money which Greece cannot. So their will be currency devaluation occurring at the same time austerity is implemented if the politicians resort to simply printing money out of thin air when the ability to borrow and spend is finally curtailed because no one will lend us money anymore to spend on welfare, government sprawl, GWOT, etc...
Yeah, I found her name. I heard her interview which was informative and amazing about the world bankers. Just google her name and you are good to go. Karen Hudes

I had the opportunity yesterday to speak with one of the western world’s most courageous and astute women, Karen Hudes, Former Senior Counsel to the World Bank—now turned whistle-blower.
It was a powerful conversation, as Karen spent 20 years with the World Bank as an attorney and economist, before being “let-go” after reporting internal fraud and corruption.
During the interview Karen indicated that the world is rapidly changing, with western power structures breaking down, economic & political influence gravitating to BRICs nations, all amid a pending currency transition which will highly favor precious metals. Hudes stated: All of the countries of the world are going to allow precious metals to serve as currency, and this will be an underpinning for paper currency, as we’ll have both systems at the same time.”

How come my insurance is going up?

See your insurance is NOT going to be cheaper...its just someone else paying..MORE for it than you would have if you paid for it yourself.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO SELF CENTERED????

""My insurance will go down, the heck with the thirty people who have to pay more so I can get something a little cheaper...

guess what? Those evil 30 people you just stole from? They are going to steal from you. They won't be hiring you because their costs just went up. They won't be giving you a raise, probably will cut your pay because their costs just went up.

Sure you are going to be paying less for your insurance...but you will have MUCH less income because of it.

Wise....real wise...you just put yourself farther into debt because you wanted cheaper insurance...LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

The joke, pal, is on you...vote for another liberal and see how much poorer you can make yourself.

Poor is the new fad. If you're poor you get things handed to you.

There was was a nurse at my doctors office that quit her job bc she couldn't get food stamps bc her income was too high plus she would get free daycare for her kids if she was unemployed.

A girl I went to school with hot pregnant and refused to marry the father(who she has been with for 10 yrs) bc she gets free insurance if she isn't married. So our taxes paid for the baby's birth, and WIC bc it's more convenient

The rioting should commence before that happens... lolol.

The next step will be him marching in a gay pride parade while getting psychiatric drugs for his "white guilt" as he burns the American flag at an atheist convention.

Attaching healthcare to the government ensures that decisions concerning healthcare will eventually involve an ideological criteria. The final result of Obamacare (I'm convinced it will be single-payer) will tend toward the persecution of groups considered undesirable. A quiet means of squelching opposition.

Who will the victims be exactly? That's up in the air. We forget that political power could swing in the direction of Right Wing Progressives. So yes, right now the man in danschance's picture would disagree with the proposition that Obamacare=slavery. But suppose for a moment that the man is an NAACP member and an bureaucrat with ties to the KKK or Nation of Islam gets in and sees to it that he is not taken care of when he is "mysteriously" impaled on the job some 50 years down the road.

Unless things change either in the political makeup of our country or within our institutions, this is the threat we all face.

So true Ritter. Government is unable to run anything like a public non-partisan utility which is EXACTLY what and how we want public services to be and operate like.

Even the IRS finds itself unable to operate as a neutral public utility under Obama. EVEN THE IRS can't achieve this simple objective!

It's nice not to butt heads with you RickyZ. We should do this more often. Post *liked*. Peace.

This health care scheme, is in no way at all good.In the long run it will hurt this country in so many ways.I had a video that told all the ins and outs of this,it's details but it disappeared somehow before I got it linked.People will, not have a choice or be fined for not joining, it will have so many stipulations all government restricted, regulated ,and overseen which will over ride the confidentiality aspect.Hospitals,Doctors, patients, even medical treatments will all be under gov, rule and regulation, scary since that leaves, all our choices in this much more limited.

Can you imagine a conservative power based american government making political decisions on handing out healthcare?

I cannot.

What is NOT greed about socialism? Its about a few having power over the masses. Socialism defines unbridled greed unfettered by anything but the fiat of the government.

Remember the axiom.....whatever the liberals are against is what they need to exist politically. This dovetails with another axiom, whatever a liberal calls a conservative, is what they are.
