Can be done, but will the public accept them. We stopped by a Denny's yesterday that had robot servers a year or so ago. The robots were gone, and twice as many customers were there. I asked our waitress what happened to the robots. She said that the restaurant was losing money, so they dropped the experiment.

It was a stupid experiment to being with. The major corporations and franchise chains are becoming more and more stupid and going Woke and broke.
The whole "religion" of Climate Emergency is plain stupidity. In order to produce electricity, one needs coal-fired (and gas-fired) plants. So when you abolish the use of coal and natural gas (and nuclear energy), you abolish the production of electricity. Can no one see the total stupidity of these fancy decisions? Then look at the EVs themselves. They are not only totally useless in winter, but extremely dangerous, and require more energy that ordinary gas operated vehicles. Now manufacturers are waking up to this stupidity, but they did not even have to go there in the first place. Hertz had to rid rid of 20,000 EVs because of the issues with them.
Common sense has been abolished and stupidity reigns everywhere. Look at the stupid demonstrators on college and university campuses right now. How can anyone be so stupid as to demonstrate for terrorism? And how can law enforcement agencies be so stupid as to sit back and do nothing? This is all BOTH evil and stupid at the same time.
