They have skyrocketed precisely because of the notoriety the Q's have given them. We have no idea why they are not giving the money (the same money that they are still continuing to donate) exclusively to only three specific groups. Maybe they see waste in those groups we don't see. Maybe they feel other groups also deserve some of the money that has been going only to those other selected groups. The point is we don't know why they are giving to other groups. We truly have no idea, other than what CFA said..... and we pigheadedly refuse to believe their explanations.

I never dreamed I would see the day when Christians would complain about a company donating money to the poor and to children...……………… simply because THEIR OWN money is not being given to the group/groups the Christians (who have no stake in that money) think someone else's money should go where they have decided it should go.

I didn't even know who they were donating to in the first place

frankly, I don't think donations need to be made to a specific cause of any particular group

apparently I could be in the minority. what else is new? haha

and there is the interesting fact about group think. if most are persuaded (and obviously not referring to CC especially, but Christians in particular who seem to be offended, wherever they may hang their coat) then aren't they doing what they say they don't like? bascially trying to force action against someone or an entity they do not like by saying they will no longer frequent the offender and try to shame said offender into doing what the group thinks?

majority may rule, but IMO, that does not make them king for a day and both political parties do this (with special grace to the left ) and Christians do this and I find it churlish

should I go dig a fox hole?

ps...I don't like their 'chips' and prefer other chicken sandwiches.

Even if it can be successfully argued that Chick Fil A didn't actually "cave", I still tend to believe that this decision was at least "informed" by the demands of a very vocal minority.

So while I don't want to hang CFA out to dry just yet, we still need to be well aware of the wicked supernatural forces behind all this.

For me the point is, up until this corporate decision to cut off funding to Christian charities that benefited greatly from just CF's monies, CF has been boycotted regularly by those committed to the cause and from the LGBTQ community and for years. This started when the family's one man one woman marriage and Christian values commitment made news during the gay marriage reporting of the SCOTUS decision.

Now, if we read the OP article, we see that CF, that stood against the boycott and protests outside their stores when it all began, has now openly conceded to the LGBTQ agenda against the company.

From the OP article: "
Chick-fil-A said Monday that it has stopped donations to several Christian organizations after receiving backlash from LGBT rights activists over the last several weeks.

The U.S. fast food chain said that as it expands, it will no longer donate to the Salvation Army, the Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which opposes same-sex marriage. The company’s charity, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, has donated millions of dollars to the two organizations.

“We made multi-year commitments to both organizations and we fulfilled those obligations in 2018,” a representative for Chick-fil-A said, saying the chain will now focus its charitable donations on “education, homelessness and hunger.” " (Note: Those new "charitable donations? Were the categories of those former charities CF supported until 2018. Only those charities upheld Christian values. )

But now, what's changed? What LGBTQ backlash! Because LGBTQ activists found out how this corporation spends its money!
Donating to Christian charities. Which means those groups support Christian values.

That's why LGBTQ is in an uproar now. It isn't new. They've been actively opposing CF since the SCOTUS decision when CF came out and said their family company believes in one man one woman marriage. Now, LGBTQ activists are upset to learn that CF donates its monies to Christian charities who do the same; uphold Christian values.

Only now, CF has thrown down the flag, and conceded to the community of immoral unrepentant sinners. At the expense of Christian charities that address homelessness, hunger, and support education.

Christians know that our metal is tested when we're met face to face by the adversary. That's when we know our worth and if what we were before was just words, or is now dedication and zeal for God.

CF caved to the pressure of organized Hell bound immoral sinners and turned away from God blessed, faith and family values grounded, Christian charities.

They are a shame before God.

The article and CF's corporate decision is proof of this. Just the first sentence in the article proves this.

Yet that very Q's outcry and demands are the primary impetus that propelled CFA to the financial forefront of the American fast-food chain...….. and has kept them there. Are they, then, going to cut their own financial throats?

Once again, you fail to see the point.

If chick-fil-a NEVER had donated to ANYTHING, that would have been fine and dandy. But they do, and the groups they donated to were sterling, fantastic, groups, that have done immense good for many yrs, but refused to endorse homosexual marriage and transgenderism for Biblical reasons.

So Chick-fil-a was the company that decided to get in the mix morality with business business. NOBADY forced them to.

The SPECIFIC reason they pulled their donation funding from these groups is because they were pressured by hateful homosexual/transgender groups. EVEN, though I personally know many Christians that insisted on supporting them in every way they could, to show that right and wrong is not dictated by the loudest, most wicked voices.

It's very close to giving in to terrorist demands. EVERYBODY knows you don't do that.

Have a chicken sandwich if you like. I just know a lot of people that won't anymore because they also stuck their necks out for this company.

So what? They have now chosen to give some money to other good groups as well. Why do you insist that they have to forever only give to one set of charities?

I don't insist on ANYTHING.

In fact, I don't care WHO they donate to. IT'S NOT THE POINT.

It's the REASON they chose to pull the funding that is the point. Do I have to chronicle the REASON again?

No, I will do the repeating. None of us know why they are going to give their money elsewhere. About the only thing we do know is that their contracts with those three were up.

You may be too young, but when all this homosexual hatred started, and the homosexuals and their allies tried to start a boycott, Christians showed up in DROVES at the restaurant. Heck, Give me a Wendys burger over chicken any day, but I supported them as well, and not just at that time. BECAUSE they decided at that time they weren't going to be bullied by homosexual fascists.

You, for some unknown reason, refuse to even read the article. THIS, is from one of their executives:
Another Chick-fil-A executive told Bisnow that the company had spent too many years “taking it on the chin” and ignoring protests and boycotts — but the escalating backlash was finally too much to ignore.

So how can you sit there and say it wasn't over the homosexual/transgender issue?

I hope you guys don't read the Bible this same way.

Go to ANY of those articles, and read THE QUOTED parts. Those are the ONLY things that Chick-Fil-A said. All the rest are just "opinions" that the writers of the articles slid in there to make gullible people who don't really pay attention when they read, think they are reading something the CFA officials, themselves, said.

No, the article is NOT from the executives. It only throws in a couple of quotes from them..... and then goes on to state their own opinions that you are assuming are still the executive's words.
