All over the news, he was caught in North Carolina this morning some time.

I saw the pic on Yahoo Home Page of him being transported somewhere by police. He is wearing a bullet proof vest. I have noticed for some time now that every time they transport someone like this guy, they put them in bullet proof vests.

Does anyone remember the last time someone tried to shoot a prisoner being transported? I can only remember the Kennedy example that took place in the Parking Garage, but, as I recall, that was/is believed to have been a "set up."

Since then, I can not think of a single incident where a bullet proof vest was needed for the criminal.

Irresponsible..... those vests cost taxpayer money.

There's this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oi3Hyxuf5AE Now, a vest wouldn't have helped him any. Ha.

It isn't as if they went out and purchased the vest for him or anything. It's almost certainly a vest the police already owned and were not using at the time.

Still do not see it, and the "link" led me to some weird ghost thread from long ago??? :)

May be a result of my "Ignore List" don't know, but the link takes me to a thread "The right time to chat."

I don't know, there's been 12 posts since that one. You think I pay attention to my own threads? What do you think I am, obsessed or somethin'?

What exactly are you implying about me, anyway?

Maybe you should have named this thread The Bullet Proof Vest Thread...then maybe we would have a vested interest :p

Whoa! that's weird. It first goes to the "Nine dead ... " thread on this forum, then winds up in the twilight zone.

How about this? SC shooting suspect nabbed

Wow! Nope, that did the same thing. Oh, well, it's post #10 on the aforementioned "Nine Dead ... " thread.

.........sigh..........have you been watching the news at all? I have seen numerous blacks being escorted here and there by police, and they all had vests on. Latest were the two arrested for plotting terrorists attacks in NY.......

On a serious note. I am so proud of and inspired by the families and friends of the victims in SC. How they have opened their hearts and revealed the love of God is amazing given what they have just suffered.

Proof positive that there is NO tragedy so great that God cannot bring about GOOD from it.

Such an outpouring from the City, State, and Nation, and such unity being witnessed among all the peoples of South Carolina. I love their "motto" that arose from this horror:

"EVIL WILL NOT WIN"

Ferguson, New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Denver -- where police have been vilified and the false narrative of "hands up, don't shoot" has been most aggressively espoused -- should take a lesson from Charleston. I was amazed at the judge's opening statement, and equally amazed and humbly proud of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are among the families of the victims.
