No, back home is Canada :)
Oh ok. Then I understand. Sounds like Universal Healthcare there works the same way as USA county hospital emergency rooms for uninsured.

Australia
Mate, that is the most uninformed, clearly biased, incorrect video based on gun control in Australia. Taking clips from 25 years ago when the buy back happened and only interviewing gun owners from that era is not accurate depiction of current attitudes of Australians concerning gun ownership.
Go research the stats, homicide and gun related violence has seen a declining trend. One example

As is your penchant CS1 you have to disagree with others on principle. When I decipher what you have said in essence it is your experience of God is not valid unless it is the same as mine.

Having been a follower of Jesus for 66 years and seen and been involved in the supernatural that has brought people out of bondage and set them free from besetting sins, and been a member of a church that experienced revival for 30 years, where the supernatural was the norm, have been to heaven and conversed with God himself, I am very confident that I know my God, (not know about him), so I am not as foolish to believe that a total stranger who thinks that I don't know what I am talking about, has a superior knowledge that makes my personal experience irrelevant.

The fact is when you are a doubting Thomas as you are, nothing will convince you of the validity of other people's walk with the Lord unless it lines up with your take on things. So I will leave you to your devices and doubts and I will continue to enjoy the fruits of my relationship with my Lord and Saviour which I have experienced over 66 years of being born again.

First off nobody here has suggested you were or are superior.

For a person who thinks one is supposed to be impressed that you are a follower of Christ for 66 years and expecting you to be mature in the faith to already know your experience is not authoritative. I addition You said, " I choose a better way".
That is a problem when one's way can be better than what Jesus said. Jesus is the one who said " I AM the Way". iN THE ORIGINAL it reads " I am the ONLY WAY". Surely one of your maturity can appreciate the sentiment and resistance to " I Choose a better way"?
Your false assessment of my character is very telling. And if you have Been to Heaven and conversed with God Himself and God told you something outside HIS written word as HE speaks to me and others, you did not speak to God, you were deceived.

I am very confident too I know the Lord God as we all can by three main ways General Revelation = His creation Roman chapter 1

Special Revelation = His written word Pslams 139:4 and by relationship through salvation and the Holy Spirit.

I am no doubting Thomas, however you a man I put no confidence in without verifying.

it is too bad, someone who says they know the Lord as long as you do should be more equipt to edify and deal with criticism what would be able to correct me. You fell short on that.

Tell that to crazy radical libs who will take away your guns if they gain office.
And yet he said he'd be the most progressive president ever. Bernie is a communist. And yes, universal healthcare is socialist. And you don't want it here. Talking to my friend on FB who had a badly sprained ankle. She waited 12 hrs. in emergency to be seen. Sat in a waiting room, 12hrs. Uninformed voters are dangerous. smh

I don't think you can take one possibly exaggerated (and context undefined) account as an indicator of a countries health care system. Rural areas in most countries tend to be under-served - that's not a problem of private vs a "social" healthcare system.

Any system can get overloaded - Friday evenings and weekends tend to see more Emerg. cases than week days according to a friend of mine in the field.

Something is missing to this story. In the US? Did she have insurance? Did she go to the county hospital emergency because she was uninsured? She waited 12 hours, and this is related to Universal Healthcare? Or was this in a country that has Universal Healthcare and this is how it works there?
A sprained ankle is not an emergency. Five hours is a normal wait in non-
emergency cases; if the staff is busy with emergencies, the wait can be longer.

Good article here Scribe:

However, the data—both from other nations with universal coverage and from historic expansions of coverage within the United States—show that this is not the case. Patients in peer nations generally have similar or shorter wait times than patients in the United States for a variety of services, refuting the argument that universal coverage would necessarily result in longer wait times in the future.

This issue brief provides an overview of the factors that affect wait times, outlines evidence that suggests universal coverage need not increase wait times in the long run, and discusses policy solutions to mitigate any impact on wait times in the short run.

Background

Discussions of wait times often ignore the fundamental reality that, for many patients, wait times are already long. Where a patient lives has a significant effect on their wait time, largely due to provider concentration in more urban areas compared with more rural ones. For example, a 2017 analysis of hospital wait times found that mid-size metropolitan areas—cities such as Hartford, Connecticut—had 32.8 percent longer wait times than large metropolitan areas such as Washington, D.C.3 A recent article in the Journal of the American Medical Association further supports this idea.4 The study found

Well it's government run, so what can you expect really? Wait times are horrific, and no, this is in a large city, not a rural area as FC said.

If you went in with a serious brain issue (such as a hemorrhage) you would be looked after immediately.

A sprained ankle is not an emergency.
No, she wasn't sure whether she had broken something, she was in incredible pain and was worried she might have fractured or broken something.

For sure, but I was a making a punny - a friend of mine was having indigestion pains - thought something was not quite right, he and his wife headed to emerg - there was no delay, they had him in an icu/care room pronto with a zillion tests - mild heart attack that required one stent.

Sprains can be very painful, and I am glad she had it looked after, and also hope she sat waiting with her foot elevated, and that she had ice for it. Five hours is more a normal wait time in urban centers...

Exactly! (Well, maybe the code color was off ;) LOL) My twin brother had a brain hemorrhage many years ago and it is probably a miracle he survived. He said it felt like being hit in the head with a hammer, and my sister, being an emergency room nurse of almost thirty years, remembered that when a man came in and said the exact same thing. The doctor asked her later how she knew...

Yeah, Dems have been dreaming about this socialist paradise for a long, long time. Truman he says. rofl Socialism "helps" people. Unreal. smh
The poor are deserving of protection and equal rights just as much as the rich. You come of as being very entitled and wealthy and if that is the case God bless you. If you want to label anything that helps people as socialist then go ahead but most people want it.

Australia is a Communist hell-hole. Aussies can't even leave their island, with all the rules the Oz tyrants are imposing using coronahoax as justification. At the same time telling the Oz people that the coronahoax (sterility) vaccine will be mandatory, and the CEO of the only airline to escape the place saying that even when the government allows international flights, they won't be allowed aboard the aircraft to leave unless they've been poisoned with said sterility vaccine. Would never have happened with gun ownership (the government never would have dared). A lead vaccine beats a mercury one every time. And like the too-many-to-count attempts in America, Australia's gun grab was started by a false flag attack.

The difference between Americans and the rest of the world are that Americans are smarter. They never fell for the hundreds of false-flag gun-grabs. And with Trump in charge now, and by God's grace, I trust they never will.

No. You would never accept a 5 hour wait in a supermarket. Why should a hospital be any different?

This is why Communism doesn't work. Government ruins everything. If you think Communism is superior, you obviously never lived through it, where people were waiting 5 hours (or even days) in supermarkets, because, you guessed it, the government was running those, too.

If the government had to pay people with injuries who had paid tax and were kept waiting in hospital queues (closer to a capitalist system), you can bet the wait times would be faster for these. However, the ideal is not to give the criminals in government any money (i.e. taxes), and then they can't waste it on lazy health workers. (And the non-lazy health workers will make a profit from serving the people who pay them, when they need it, without a 5 hour wait).

might want to explain what a false flag is. i know what you are saying and how gov.'s gets the citizens to give up their rights, but the cnn/fox news crowd has no idea what that would be....
