Albeit Willie may (or may not) have misunderstood the phrase "faithless elector", his post still holds validity. How can a man who claims to be Christian pray for men to be unethical and immoral in voting against the man their constituents instructed them to vote for??

Go by the rules. Trump won, there is no way around it. Who knows what else the electors will be faithless about if they start disobeying what is expected of them.

Yes, Tommy, this 71 year old man knows the term. And even though we have not had such a traitorous turncoat in 12 years, there is still no faith in God (IMHO) existing in a person like that..... nor in anyone actually stating that their prayers (to whom, I don't know) ask that a man or woman be a traitor and a liar to the American people.

One important thing the Liberals now crying in their beer, and dreaming of riots and traitorous sedition forget, is that NONE OF THE CANDIDATES WERE CAMPAIGNING FOR THE POPULAR VOTE. Not a one of them. They all put all their concentrated efforts and hopes into winning the States with the most Electoral votes. And Hillary fell short of her intended goal, and lost.

Frankly, I doubt it that all the bully's are conservatives, some of them sounds more like liberals, and just like their god, Donald, being ugly is their game.

I am proud to say I was raised in a God fearing family where my dad said Grace before our meals and where the Bible was the most important book. We have our guns and are sound defenders of the 2nd Amendment. My dad taught me on how to operate rifles, shotguns, revolvers, pistols etc etc, and he taught me have to take down whatever critter from nearbout any range. I doubt it that the Trump bully's on here even knows a pistol from a revolver, like their very own Donald. Reckon they wouldn't last for a minute outside town.

I want to say, getting a liberal city slicker like Donald (or Hillary) into office is an insult to every hard working American. Our families have been working their butts off for decades and now we're being made fun of by Trumps supporters on a Christian Forum??? We have never been on welfare, never taken one dime from the American society, the only thing we have done is paying our taxes, over and over again, yet we are portrayed as liberals destroying this country. Shame! It is a disgrace!

Every human being is a gift from God. We have two candidates, that both are pro choice, no matter what Big Don up yonder NYC says. They don't care. I've heard them talking, both of them. Trump supporters saying he is pro life is lying, or just to starstruck to think clearly.

Also, Trump supporters, we're all going to get licked come Nov 8, and I blame the Trump supporters for bringing Hillary into the White House! Job well done...

I think the OP made some LOGICAL POINTS, and some ILLOGICAL POINTS.

I'm not going to parse them out, as everyone has probably picked through them already.

But I do have to agree that Trump's views aren't really reflective of traditional conservatives.
This isn't complicated or mysterious.
He isn't a traditional conservative.
He isn't really a traditional conservative... but how we label his overall philosophy is up for grabs.
Some have labeled him a reactionary, or a populist, or even a pragmatist.

However you label him, he certainly held to more conservative positions than his opponent did.

Now we'll have to wait and see what happens; hopefully he'll do a good job.
