Well this thread degraded quickly.
1) -And let's put this to rest- A vote for one candidate is NOT a vote for another candidate. PERIOD. End of story.
2) Sure you can write in who you want but there are strict rules as to what write-ins are accepted. So, you may have written Ted Cruz, but that doesn't mean it was counted.
3) Comments like: "Trumpsters are this" or "Trump is that" or "A vote for anyone but the person I support is a vote for someone I don't, therefore you are somehow stupid or evil" Are not helpful and do not achieve good dialogue and debate.
Now back to the issue:
I thought that 2018 State of the Union was insightful clever and powerful on so many levels.
It showed that the President could have resigned, gone prison and went to re-education camp and surrounded himself with displaced kittens and puppies, and the Democrats in DC STILL would not have been happy. The President tested them and showed the nation what they were all about.
I have two concerns:
1) The pillars of immigration reform were a little mixed up, IMO. I think our border needs to be secure BEFORE we put illegal immigrants on the path to citizenship.
2) I worry that the recognition of Ji Seong-ho and his work while amazing, deserved, and totally moving, will harm his work to help the people of N. Korea. I hope that my worry is for nothing.
