In the UK, 6% of people are openly gay. In 1970, the Hamburg institute published a study wherein 18% of men had admitted to having at least one gay sexual experience. They repeated the study in 1990 and the number had fallen to 2%. That nicely coincides with the advent of the argument that being gay is a sexual dysfunction. In Rio, being gay isn't seen the same way as it is in other areas, and 18% of Rio's citizens are openly gay. The number in San Francisco is 15%.

The National Bureau of Economic Research published a study recently that used veiled questioning and reported more than a 50% increase in individuals identifying as non-heterosexual, which they used to estimate that around 20% of people are attracted to the same sex.
According to the Office for National Statistics in the UK 1.5% of people are gay. The 6% comes from an earlier estimate from the government. And of course Rio and San Francisco are going to have a higher gay population, you have a lot of gay people moving into both areas.

As for the final paragraph, it depends on what "veiled questioning" is. 20% is rather a wild claim.

I've seen a couple of threads about the gay agenda tonight. The world buys off on this because science has 'proven' that it's not a choice, but that some people are 'just wired like that'. What's interesting is that now science is showing that pedophiles have very much the same 'wiring'. Is that next on the world's agenda?

In a certain way, gays, pedophilias, murderers, violent people, liars, cheaters, and so on, are all “wired like that”. Nevertheless, all of these behaviors are not acceptable to any society that strives to follow Jesus in his footsteps.

the reported 1.6% of the population being gay or whatever single digit number it is, would support it being a mutation.
I am kinda thinking if, and that is a huge if, homosexuality was a genetic mutation it would be on the same lines as being a hermaphrodite and while I do not know the exact stats, I do not think there are more than a few thousand in the entire world.

Why does it seem christians focus a lot on homosexuality?

Easy. Homosexuals bring it up. We counter more lies from that source and we are argumentative or only focusing on one sin.

Its a talking point. A bad one easily countered but to the low information people out there, making decisions on emotion and not facts, these talking points hit home.

Its funny how ignorance and bigotry go hand in hand.
