Black pastor is handcuffed for watering his neighbor's flowers while they were out of town and CHARGED despite white woman stepping in and telling cops 'he lives right there'
By Vanessa Serna For Dailymail.Com

"Black pastor is set to file a discrimination lawsuit against the police after he was handcuffed for watering his neighbor's flowers while they were out of town - despite a white woman stepping in and coming to his defense.

Pastor Michael Jennings was arrested in May outside his neighbor's yard in Childersburg, Alabama, after police received a complaint about a strange man and vehicle on the property.

Jennings, who was seen in the clip watering the flowers with a hose, had just returned from Sunday service. He told police his long-term neighbor asked him to look after his shrubbery while he was out of town.
But despite his good intentions and other residents vouching for him, Jennings was taken to jail and later charged with obstruction of government operation.
After insisting that he was just calmly gardening in the front yard, police asked Jennings: 'How do we know that's the truth?'
The baffled pastor, who lives in the house across the street, responded: 'I had the water hose in my hand! I was watering the flowers.'
Body camera footage showed three officers from Childersburg Police Department screaming at Jennings as he refused to provide identification - before he was ushered away in handcuffs.
Jennings later learned the person who called 911 knew him but didn't recognize him when she called in the report. "

Hopefully they fire the 3 cops and their chief. And take away any certifications so they cant get jobs as police anywhere else.

And leftists think these morons are the only ones who should wield a firearm.

This kind of stuff boils my blood.

He should consider a lawsuit.

I've seen good and bad in uniform. I have the high respect for decent ones have earned.
There are arrogant bullies that come out of academies too.
The system is totally broken.
I've had poachers on my property released with my deer when I called states on them with photos as they drug it from the center of my place. I know suspicious behavior and this isn't it.
Others caught dumping and sneaking into my posted land. The cop was like the one shouting down the preacher, threatening to arrest me. I know suspicious behavior. However they had no RAS Reasonable Acertainable Suspicion to go onto private property to harass a guy obviously not breaking into the house or committing a crime. The pastor said something about being a cop at one time and knows what they did was wrong. That's why he didn't have in and grovel. Probably why he held that hose when he stopped to talk rather than the pistol looking sprayer is my guess.

He should consider a lawsuit.
From reading another article, it looks like he did file a suit.
Since the mayors, councils and judges aren't doing anything about misconduct, the police in some towns get emboldened when someone doesn't immediately "obey my authoritah!"
They were demanding the ID to put him in the system. As a former LEO, cop, or peace officer, he'd know that.

This is the fallenness of man. We put people in authority over us, and the gist of them are well-meaning, as you said. But, there's always somebody who just can't handle the responsibility and the power. And, if the system has anything good in it, they will be disciplined.

The left right paradigm is at play in our American media. On one side is the militant lezbeen led BLM. They managed to get support from the communist wing of politics. I'm not for that. Neither am I on the side that police are a monolithic single organization that is instituted by God to protect each family and individual. That's been the big lie since the men of their communities handed over their responsibility to police their own as a volunteer duty. They did what the older men did in I Sam. 8. Give us a king that will go out and fight our battles for us. They got what God warned them of.
From a very early age my family would have the chief of police's family over for dinner and vice versa. I've had/have good neighbors who introduced me to their coworkers socially who are federal and local law eng, so I look at them as individuals and as separate departments as well.
I also witnessed crimes committed by different police. I could write a book.
What the Marxists want to do is refund the system and build it the way they control. Barry Sotoro already built that. We haven't seen anything yet until they activate it.

Here's a related video that deserves it's own thread. There are a lot of apartment complexes in this town. The church carries out the great commission by knocking on every door and if people want to hear, they share the gospel with them. BTW, this is a Baptist church, not Mormons.
When someone says they are not interested, they simply tell that person to have a good day and move on. The problem began when the apartment manager didn't like this church and pretended to speak for everyone. They called the police and made the false accusation that the church was soliciting, selling stuff. The police did not do their constitutional duty and back off. They decided to violate at least two high laws.
The pastor here stood up to them to let them know that they were outside their lawful boundaries.

That "new" system would be a nationalized police because, you see, no authoritarian order has ever instituted that.

It's easier for the evil to control a centralized army like that. They did that according to the Obamination's play books.
The local, county, states are controlled by the féd grants that they steal from us. Since Hussain O, he has obtained his internal army. These armies are more powerful than the local departments.

It dont do any good anyway.
Example#1 Fishing one Saturday
A buddy and I were walking along the RR tracks to our fishing spot on rural public property. There was a dirt road that runs parallel and above us, overlooking the tracks. We heard music where someone was parked up there as we were walking past, but didn't pay attention. As soon as we were directly below, they opened fire with a high caliber rifle(s) as gravel kicked up all around us. I shouted RUN! RUN! dropped the tackle box and pole. We were out in a clearing so nowhere to get behind cover for over a hundred yards. I ran a zig zag pattern until we got around the bend. We weren't hit and walked back home through the woods.

Next thing, I'm telling a police officer what happened. I said that I should buy a firearm to take with me when I fish or camp because this was the second time I was shot at just out of the blue and in that area. I assumed he would agree, as I think most would. He got an attitude and told me in no uncertain terms that he would've arrested me if that happened again and I shot back!
He got real mad at me when I calmly disagreed and told me that I could get behind a tree!
I kid you not.

This went back and forth for a while.
You wouldn't believe it if I told you everything he said.
I asked," what do you suggest I do besides depend on the police to show up like magic and protect me next time? It's already happened before and you guys decided not to show up until the murderers were long gone for an hour and a half."
I wish this was a rare exception.

He said that" I should seriously wear body armor everywhere." This guy was serious.
This guy was dumber than Barney Fife.
Nobody will ever fire him and he'll be there collecting the people's taxes until his cushy retirement.

You should have recorded the conversation and taken it to the next city council meeting.
This stuff makes my blood boil. He would arrest you for defending yourself.

People who call the cops for frivolous reasons should be billed for the officer's time

Wish I did. Those are the times you just never expect you're going to need to record.
Even if I did, I don't know what would come if it. Many that work around these guys are going to side with them regardless.
I took the interaction public so others would realize that they really need to quit relying on the system and take lawful steps to defend their own. I didn't want the close call and follow up experience to go to waste, so I spoke to my classes, churches and talk shows.
