Avin' a giggle?

I might only be speaking for myself, but I know that I feel so much better that a fine British gentleman, such as yourself, is so knowledgeable about world politics that he can set we poor, dumb, Americans straight. My goodness, how did we ever last this long on our own without the superiority of the British to help guide us?

I am of course overlooking the fact that the UK has the highest density of surveillance systems in place...and I am overlooking that portions of your fine island are overrun with Islam so prolifically that those areas are considered sovereign and have instituted sharia law. I overlook these things because I have no doubts you have some perfectly rational explanation for them that you will give to me. I also know you will speak s-l-o-w-l-y and use simple words because I, as an American, am far too stupid to understand the machinations of intellectually superior people, such as yourself.

We as God's children are not English/British or American or any other nationality but brothers and sisters in Christ and we must remain humble.

I'd just like to say that you should be glad your relatives immigrated years ago so you could have such a toe hold in America now.. I bet your blood line isn't 100% American your relatives came from somewhere else too you know America the melting pot of the world? Lucky you....

That's all most of the immigrants that are coming into America now want a better place to live and the American Dream - ratio of terrorists to pure want a better life immigrant is low.... Let's punish ALL because we are AFRAID of a few? Really?
Most Americans are not afraid; we're sheepdogs looking after the flock. It's called discernible responsibility. And we look out for the safety and well being of the ungrateful as well.

I know you're right, my dear sister, but it's very difficult for me personally to remain humble when dealing with shear stupidity. (No knock on YIG; just chiming in)

Liberals' opinions are irrelevant.
They are not irrelevant but taken in by mainstream media - we are being brainwashed by propaganda. Isn't it amazing how we were fed the anti Trump rioters yet there was no mention of the peaceful pro life marches?

No. Congress made the law, Trump is enforcing it.

immaterial to my point.

"the POTUS can unilaterally determine national threats and detain any person or any broad class of people"

is certainly an argument that justifies concentration camps instituted by the decision and opinion of a single man, and that premise has nothing at all to do with involvement of congress, in fact, the comment i replied to left congress completely out of the loop when he said that the POTUS has the right to make such determinations and take such actions unilaterally.

One problem with this poll and many others....Is that the vote now button is too close to the "f" button and may give a false negative result.
Personally I think he's doing a great job. I think people need to put on some big people undies and stop griping about protecting our borders. This ban is temporary while getting takes place on people here and vetting processes can begin on others waiting to get in. This needs to be done right for a change. We should feel safe.
Vetting has never not-taken-place. What should have happened is the vetters could have dumped a bunch of pending cases. If you do not trust the vetters, why would you suddenly start trusting them now? Nothing has changed in the process.

Curiosity between our common languages. Is "utter tosh" better than or worse than "oh brother?" (aka a good eye roll.)
It means "nonsense" in 1500's old English.

"Sheepdogs." More likely to raise a leg than slap. :)

Utter tosh is a polite way of saying it is the waste product of a male cow...

this is the argument that justifies concentration camps.

by the unilateral decision of one man.
That isn't the point and it's a huge exaggeration to equate the two. The question is whether or not the President has the unilateral power to suspend travel to the US by foreigners. He clearly does. Presidents have certain powers afforded to them by the Constitution. Starting concentration camps isn't within his power, banning certain travelers for a short period of time IS!!

Obama had a ban on Iraqis, Carter on Iranians. Nobody said a word.
