The "ruler against ruler" actually applies to the "violence in the land" (civil war) in the context of this passage, I believe. It's actually elsewhere that God says He will raise up against Babylon a coalition of eastern powers:

Jer_50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

There are many passages that talk about this coalition of nations. Notice their weapon is "arrows" that "do not miss" (none shall return in vain) and, in many other passages, fire. Arrows + fire -> nuclear weapons.
I have more questions but will refrain.

It depends on how you look at it. If by "the US" you mean the US federal government, then probably not for quite a long time. The Democrats and Republicans will do anything to hold on to their grip of power and we've never seen them seriously challenged with regime change via military coup or revolution in quite a long time now. They're so firmly-established it would be all-out-war before they went down in some sort of collapse.

Politicians come and go, policies change, elections cycles begin and end, but it's always the same regime.

If you mean US society collapsing, then that's already been happening for a long time now and it's are varying stages of ruin around the nation.

I don't mind. If you have questions, ask away. I've been feeling like I need to talk about this stuff more, but I'm not really sure how to get it out there.
Yea I keep hearing, reading, seeing things unfolding seemingly getting closer but I don't know specifics or details as to how and when everything will collapse. I'm just waiting and its a bit overwhelming knowing something is going to happen but not knowing when and if and when it does, will I be ready? Spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally etc. lol my family thinks I'm crazy

So we could be months away or still years away, I suppose.
The blog "Summary of Bible verses on the Rapture" has collected a very long list of prophecies that give us a very good idea of where we are in the Bible play book.

Honestly, I'm not so sure about that. I think the MAJORITY of Christians have been incorrect about eschatology. Since Christ ascended back into Heaven, Christians have believed that His return and the end of history would be within their lifetimes.

As another poster mentioned, they weren't wrong in the sense that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." But from a greater history perspective, they certainly were mistaken.

I am seeing hardly anyone talking about where the Fall of Mystery Babylon fits into things, especially considering that it MUST precede the end and the rise of the terrible beast kingdom of the Antichrist.

The main thing is not to react to what is going on around us with fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear.

2Ti_1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

My family thought I was crazy back in 2019 when I published my book "How America Ends." My parents even began going to a Bible study group for parents whose kids were emotionally troubled/depressed/unstable etc.

I think their perspective changed when something I talked about in the book - a stolen Presidential election possible triggering a civil war - actually happened in 2020. They've been waking up to a great many things since then.

Don't really care what "most" people are talking about. The Fall of Babylon is definitely a key prophecy in understanding where we are at and there are a number of recent prophecies like Duduman's and Ken Peters that give us even more understanding on that. I have posted all of that in the blog.

What civil war happened in 2020?

The Election Steal happened in 2020. The next civil war is building. It will be America's last civil war.
It is not a civil war, it is God separating the waters so that the believers could be brought through and all these tyrannical bozos in Pharaoh's army can try and swim in an iron suit.

I have heard this view also, that we might have a reprieve from all the evil for a time and a period of revival.

I hope so... but I'm not that optimistic. I'd be very happy to be wrong. :)

Not my view -- things are not bad yet, about to get real bad, it is about to get Biblical, rapture, Antichrist, MOTB, guillotine, etc.

OH, so my lifetime too and what do you mean your people are circling the wagons?
Hehe, it's a figure of speech. In Western movies (historically too) pioneers would circle the covered wagons in a formation when stopping for the night or when under attack. This provided a barricade of sorts from which cover to fight off whatever enemy had just popped up.

In other words, "getting ready for the worst."

It's definitely going to get bad. Either what you described, or the Fall of Mystery Babylon. Either way, Biblically bad. Unless God grants
us a reprieve, but I don't see America repenting any time soon. Not the majority.
