In the game, the invading machines actually snuck into this alternate version of Sweden by landing at a hidden beach. There were a lot of them that landed on the beach. They were activated all at once and when given the order to strike, they were quick and decisive. From there, they invaded the rest of the country.
The US has such a massively long western coast with plenty of possible hidden points where the Chinese might be able to sneak in. I really hope the coastal/national guards will be very diligent about watching over these waters and beaches. And if there are too many of them invading at once, I don't know if our military will be quick enough to mobilize and defend against them.
Well gosh, now that's pretty scary, honestly. The game is fun, but I really don't want that to happen in real life. I was actually terrified in the game because the machines are smart - they can stalk you - they are fast - and they are ruthless when they shoot. When I was just beginning, I was running for my life most of the time until I found stronger weapons.
Also, the game was set in the late 1980s - Sweden had put into place a policy where every household was actually armed. Why you ask? Because during that time, in real life, there was a real threat from Russia that they try to take it over. Swedish families were given weapons so that they may be able to defend themselves against a Russian invasion. So in the game, there was plenty of weapons and ammo.
But here? On the west coast with all those soft snowflakes who don't believe in owning guns? I don't even want to think about it....
On the flip side, the game might make a good trainer for the real thing.
Part of the fun is learning how to take the machines out in creative ways with whatever you have on hand and what the environment has laying about. Also, one of the most important things I learned from the game is that when you come across a new type of machine, you should try to find out its weak points ASAP so you can shoot them off or other weaknesses to sabotage it.
Now would be a good time to consider that.
Communist doctrine requires that the CCP take over America . We've seen them milk the USA of all commerce, business, tech, $, etc.
Once they are strong enough and the time is right, they will strike, barring a miracle.
Since there are giant barge ships pouring in weekly, it would be absolutely no reason to fear discovery by the port authorities. Container ships could have any number of soldiers or remote control drones, bots that would gain strategic locations before moving inland. Their young soldiers no doubt already have entered and established a presence until activated, IMHO.
Why do I believe this?
I've studied communism.
You can always trust the communists......
...to be communists.
For example, that first Chinese robot that is basically a delivery system. Just shoot its legs off so that it can't move. You can basically take whatever supplies it has after that. I saw the other robots but it's the same principle, shoot it's weak spots like the joints.
I think that is asking a LOT of marksmanship, but you are thinking in the right direction.
My thoughts are that they are hardened against military antipersonnel calibers.
They might be stopped by equipment ordinance, but the drones might require a different option.
