^^ Well, our libraries, schools, police, fire, social security, food stamps for the poor......these are all socialized concepts. I think there are some other important ones we should embrace as well like universal healthcare for all people, free education for everyone, and a significant increase in salary for the minimum wage. ALL wages should be livable.

In all honesty, wages aren't the problem. A watered down currency that has lower and lower purchasing power is.

To be fair, the same could be said for those (especially women) that vote for Trump. But trying to make one evil over the other, doesn't work in God's eyes.

As a woman, I'm a bit personally offended by the "baby-killing" remark. Presumably you're talking about abortion. I have friends who have gotten an abortion. I don't particularly like the idea of killing anything, whether babies or animals or anything. But there are some definite circumstances where abortion is the more moral choice. And to be opposed and want to outlaw abortion altogether because of YOUR personal interpretation of The Bible, is wrong. Once again, I'm proud to say that I don't live in a theocracy. The misogyny and lack of freedom in some other countries I could name is extremely nefarious. Let's not make America that way, where ANY book governs and dictates federal law. That is unconstitutional.

My personal interpretation? Thou shall not murder means exactly that, but obviously for you it means its okay to murder the most vulnerable of all God's children. Here's a news flash: I couldn't care less if you're offended by my remarks. I know our brethren who were murdered in the womb appreciate what I say; I speak on their behalf as well as the millions upon millions more who will be murdered because of people like you. You were pro-life when you were in the womb, what happened? That's a rhetorical question, if you want to answer it, start a new thread.

Well, I can see there is no reaching you rationally, so I won't bother addressing it further aside from saying once again that there are times where abortion is certainly the better choice. Do you kill a wounded animal on the road that is suffering, or do you let it suffer and bleed to death?

And Trump is all kinds of evil! lol How can you not see that? He's a racist misogynistic homophobic bigot, who thinks he is right all the time, even in the face of counter evidence. But that is most republicans. Jesus Himself would likely be less inclined to vote republican for those reasons.

Evil might be the wrong word. But to think Trump is some savior that plenty of Christians are praising, is delusional. It's pointless to list all the reasons because we already have numerous threads about the issue. You're just going to respond with why you believe Trump is great, and call me a liberal in response. Which is a waste of time for everyone. But I will respond with the women comment. How I feel women, particularly Christian women, voting for Trump, is astonishing, considering what he has been on record saying. It Kinda makes me wonder if these Christian women that vote for him secretly find those types of actions attractive in men, and they like being treated not as equals, but as beneath. Can't say the exact words or else I'll be banned. I wonder, though, would they encourage their sons, or husbands, if they acted the way Trump did towards women? I mean heck, their husbands might, which is why they got with them in the first place.

Jesus wouldn't vote for either party. He would rightfully assert his authority over both. Though I do think people would probably slander His views on race, claim he is homophobic, and find his characterization of "the Father" to be quite misogynistic. I may have to check my Greek too, but I suspect Jesus used traditional male/female/neuter pronouns.

What about the woman he called a dog? Just a guess but I think a certain segment of the population would take issue with it.
Not only did it appear mysogynistic but racist as well. One could certainly infer it.

Jesus would've been considered a homophobe because he would assert that sex outside the covenant of marriage is sinful in all cases. The inspired writings of the Apostle Paul serve as further confirmation to that end. Sure, Jesus reached out to sinners, but he never softened the Gospel message. By asserting that homosexuality is sinful and not a mere alternative lifestyle, he would be considered homophobic.

In regards to race, as you said, Christ treated everyone equally in regards to race and continues to do so. This sort of colorblindness is treated as racism today. "All lives matter" is not treated as a correct moral observation, but a way of ignoring problems. They would also likely claim that he didn't live up to his own standard of "colorblindness." Who did he choose to travel with? Almost uniformally Jewish men.

Christ most certainly was mysogenistic by the extreme standards we are putting in place as a generation. Like I said the Chief Authority of the Universe is referred to as "He" and "Father". Christ Himself is and was a man. Could He not have chosen to assume a different form?
