How do you feel about women breastfeeding in public?
Well, today's PC police say that is perfectly acceptable, too. Again, it's "let it all hang out, show everybody everything".
NO.
I don't need to see everything.
I remember seeing a book talk some years back called "Return to Modesty". There is no modesty today. Do parents today invite their children into the bedroom to watch them (I'll use a less offensive term here) "Procreate"?
Education? Just sit them in front of the tv and they can hear God's name taken in vain and couples hooking up for a quickie. Go to school, and they'll have you reading pornography, and learning we are just highly (?) evolved apes.
We're a sick world - and we like being sick. We're too proud to call the doctor.

If a woman breastfeeding her new life baby in public offends you you're staring too hard. Therefore, the problem is you .

I'm not staring, I am looking away, because I don't want to see what she is doing - something that should be done in the privacy of their own home. What is wrong with bottle feeding? That's how my mama fed me.

Mine too.

Let me help you understand what we're never told as kids.

A newborn babies immune system does not fully develop until they're about 18 months of age.

The mom's breast milk contains all the nutrients that help that process.
Whereas formula has preservatives and lots of other artificial ingredients that impact that newborn because their immune system isn't fully able to adjust and protect the baby.

If you haven't followed the story, there's an uproar about a school where the children were allowed to view "works of art" like Michelangelo's David. The school did not ask for parental permission. I think it's just typical of how things are today. You can show young children pornography, everything showing, no questions asked. This goes right along with all the dirty books they allow kids to read. What's next? The teacher's dropping their drawers in class to show the students how everything works? "Man meets, woman, the take off their clothes, man inserts his ---- into the woman's -----".
Please, Lord, take me home now, I don't belong in this evil world!
I've been reading this thread and I wonder, could you please post what relevant verses in the Bible support your view?

I just wanted to point out that this is where all this prudishness leads. Perversions. Sick kids 'cause they were only fed fake milk, because some stupid folk think boobs are the devil and mom believed them.

While I don't think its right for women to reveal their boobs in public, breastfeeding is different. Its the very purpose for which breasts were created. A woman who is discreetly feeding a child is clearly married (de jure or de facto), so there's no excuse for any guy to be looking at her as a potential mate.

There are people who teach we should be ashamed of our bodies.
Their shame is almost hatred when the subject of the human form arises.

When art is called pornography by such people, there's a problem with perspective.

That's the same mind set that burns art, destroys or covers nude statues.

I had to laugh at this.
Not because it is funny, because it's no laughing matter.
But the way you put it, all I could think was from the movie The Waterboy, all the times he quotes "Mama says (fill in the blank) is the devil"

There are a few or so more here (<= link).
1 Corinthians 12:14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,[e] yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

While the statue of David might not be evil in and of itself, it can be used to groom children by exposing them on nudity as art for starters.

I know. It's a horrific thing.
Male and female children must grow up being ashamed of the holy temple that is God's creation in his image and likeness.

They must grow into fertile adulthood completely uneducated about the natural God given process that caused them to be born.
So that when they marry they lay beside their spouse ashamed of all that hangs out beneath the sheets. As totally ignorant people who were never taught how reproduction works.
Because knowledge of penetration and reception of the male member was rightly forbidden. Just figure it out if you get married. But do it in the dark so you don't see each other.

Then have kids.

And teach them to be like that. And then offer prayers and outrage when the headlines report of a fertile teenage girl who gave birth at her prom. Yet was made to be terrified of her God given natural libido that she murdered the fruit of it after giving birth in the school bathroom.

Shame and indignant outrage. How dare God created things that hang down, stand up and enter in to that what was made to receive them.

Then judge and condemn in God's name people who take what hangs down or stands erect or are made to receive , sex those that are just the same.

Judge, condemn, shame, God's creation. Made in his image and likeness. Who lived first as totally naked and exposed.

Only after Satan was given dominion over this world did those first naked ones feel shame for God's creation. And seek to cover it up.

If she lives in Great Britain where that show appears on their channel 4.

this whole kerfuffle is really not about art, or the human body being what God made it.
it's about the fact children were shown a nude male figure without asking their parents first, which as i understand it is contrary to Florida law.

i would like to believe there are still some eleven and twelve year old girls who haven't seen male genitalia yet. :(

No school had to send me to a museum to see male nudity. I was 11 years old walking down the street with my classmate just talking. I started noticing that there was a red sports car at every corner of the street. And then I saw the same car pass us and park at the next corner coming up. I told my friend about the car and how weird that was. So when we reached the corner, we both looked in the car. And ohmygosh! The perv was flashing us! So gross!

We kept walking but we were both in shock. So I said let's go into the next apartment building, but stay calm. So we did. I put my finger at the top of a column of doorbell buttons and just ran it down hoping someone would beep us in - and someone did!

I didn't know God then. I did go to church with my family though and I started wondering if God was the one who helped us.... :)

Anyway, I got flashed at least once a year for my entire teenage years. Smh.... If Satan was trying to turn me on, he failed miserably. 😝

If that's the case, shouldn't the museum have required parent or guardian permission for children prior to facilitating their entry? And if it did, the issue is really about the teacher not giving the children/parent's informed consent, rather than whether the art is acceptable or no?

Yeah, I was thinking that maybe the teacher lied to the museum and said that all the children had their parents' consent.
