Ok. I'm in Oregon and homeschool. I still teach my kids about evolution, etc so they aren't ignorant of the "other side". Homeschooling doesn't mean you shelter your kids from opposing views. You can teach "required subjects" from the point if view as: "This is what the world teaches but the TRUTH is this..."

My 2 eldest kids are now taking online High School after years of homeschooling and I've taught them to give the answers expected by the public school while understanding the truth. Unfortunately, that's the way it has to be sometimes.

All that said, even if you have to teach required subjects, the parent has more influence than the school. Homeschooling is often the better option.

I would think invoking religious freedom would prevent the imposition of objectionable content being mandatory for a homeschooling religious environment.

I wrote those reports and my homeschooling was far superior to anything the school did so they never messed with me. My kids read books. In a single week they could read about 500 to 1,000 pages depending on what grade we were in. As a result they would read 50-100 books a year. They were able to think critically, so if they had to read a book pushing CRT no big deal, I would get them a book presenting the counter arguement. If they thought socialism was a great thing I'd get them a few history books and few other books they could read to give them a more balanced understanding.

I don't believe anyone is going to force you to teach this gender garbage to elementary school kids, but even if they do have some book or lesson that is required I can easily let them see the issue from multiple angles. They could watch some Daily Wire or Charlie Kirk broadcasts.

A girl who escaped North Korea makes a very good point in a book she recently wrote. The fact that the situation in America is not "equitable" proves that you are free in North Korea it was equitable because they had no freedom to make any choices for themselves.

We know for a fact that children who grow up in single parent households are far more likely to have trouble with school, with the law, with drugs, etc. Is that question on the survey?

everyone knows boys dont menstruate! Usually in schools when they have the puberty talk its only done for grade or year 6 and the girls have their talk and the boys have theirs separately.

This school sound like its REALLY badly resourced if they do a talk like this at assembly for grades 1-8 lol

the nz census asked everyone what they identify as, I just put HUMAN I think it was a stupid and confusing question as well. They also wanted to know how much money you earned and ethnicity and religion yes I get that those kinds of question are on every survey /census but those questions are just boring

Why cant the census ask interesting questions of everyone like...what your favourite icecream flavour or what do you REALLY think of govt services. Have you caught covid yet and were you paid to stay at home.Is your home (a) comfortable (b) too expensive or (c) what home, I live in a cardboard box.
