What's this world coming to? My brother called the other day. My 4th grade nephew came home and was very upset. He asked his dad if his mother would be kind enough to buy him tampons when he was old enough. Or would she be too embarrassed just as he would be?
Turns out they had a school assembly by grade for the last two days wherein the children were given an overview of human sexuality that included telling them that boys and girls menstruate. And, if any students attending were sexually active check with the school nurse to find out about options to stay protected.
These were school children from grades 1 to 8.
