Staff at tech company Mozilla are calling for CEO Brendan Eich to resign a week after he took the job, after it emerged that he gave donations to an anti-LGBT campaign.

Eich contributed $1,000 (£601.11) in support of California’ Proposition 8 in 2008, an initiative which opposed same-sex marriage.
His controversial donation was discovered on a public database, with Mozilla named as his employer, in 2012, the Telegraphreported.
Eich was made CEO of Mozilla, which is behind the Firefox web browser, in late March after his predecessor Gary Kovacs announced his resignation in April last year.

He was previously the organisation’s chief technology officer, and has been associated with Mozilla in its various guises since the 1990s.
According to Mozilla, Eich invented JavaScript, the Internet’s most widely used programming language.
Since his appointment, his colleagues, who regard his anti-LBGT stance as against the company's ethos, have taken to Twitter to post the message: “I'm an employee of @mozilla and cannot reconcile having @BrendanEich as CEO."
Among the users to tweet against Eich was Chris McAvoy, the head of Mozilla's Open Badges project.

In a post on his blog entitled Incluseiveness at Mozilla, Eich responded to the criticism and said: “I express my sorrow at having caused pain” and promised an “active commitment to equality” at the firm.
“I am committed to ensuring that Mozilla is, and will remain, a place that includes and supports everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, economic status, or religion,” he wrote.

This is a powerfulexample as the enemy forces this man to make a stand on a stand he had already made. He rams his agenda down the throat of anyone who refuses to comply. Maybe this is not the place for him anyway. The church is the same way a stand has been made on same sex issuesin the bible very clearly yet some want to ram their agend down the throat of the church how sad.

In many countries speaking against homosexuality is already a crime, it's classified under hate speech laws. A pastor teaching on certain verses could be fined or imprisoned.

Because democracy should mean that all who voice a historically normatively moral personal opinion must be severely persecuted right?

WRONG!

But unfortunately, that's what democracy means under liberalism.

''His controversial donation''

Its now controversial to donate funds to support a proposition? I could see the controversy if the law was for child molestation being legal but supporting a bill against gay marriage is...controversial?

Please tell me there is no bias in reporting....and I will laugh in your face.

Disgusting.

Given the liberal's tolerance for Islamic sharia, it's no surprise to see them implement what amounts to "homosexual sharia" upon everyday moral American business people.

The tyranny of the new left is dangerous, intolerant to the extreme, and persecutes moral Americans.

They did the same to Phill Robertson. All he said was he preferred a woman to a man and, boom.

I will now compliment our president.

The media has been exposed under his administration for what they are, pandering lapdogs of the left.

You do realize that homosexuality wouldn't be an issue at all if they were able to pro-create, yes?

I don't agree with homosexuality at all, but neither do i agree with imprisoning someone for it. That's horrible. And if you think that's a good thing as a Christian, that's equally sad. Homosexuality is just a sin, the same as the sins you commit. How would you like your secular government to put you in prison for your sins? Would that be fair? It's not humanities job to punish sinners, that belongs to God and God alone.

What do you(all) think?
Should the pastor clam-up or continue as he has always preached?

Continue...like paul...it's really sad. America's favorite Christian is the silent ones. It's okay for the world to say what's okay and what isn't, but as soon as you speak out saying something that doesn't agree with them...it's finger pointing and you're the judgemental one.

In the time that I've lived in this area I've had the pleasure of sitting under two separate pastors at two different churches and both of them have commented that if preaching the truth of God's word becomes classified as criminal hate speech then they'll just have the opportunity to have a full time prison ministry.

Another victim of "tolerance". Nevertheless, this guy gave up too early. Perhaps he didn't want a controversy?? He should have been more bold though. Gays are not the problem. Its the fag lobby which brainwashes them for political goals that should be tackled. This is going too far
