This video can do a much more effective job at this than I can barely awake at 3:30am. Especially worth noting are the fact that in the movie Jesus calls Peter first and separately, before He called anyone else at Galilee, and just says to him "Just give me an hour, I'll give you a whole new life".
Hmm... I totally disagree with this guy's misinterpretation regarding graven images but as for the rest of his argument (besides his KJV-Only stance) it's becoming clear and the realization is rather disturbing. I never realized this about Roma (if I did the alarm bells would've been ringing very early on) and I didn't realize that the Gospel TV series didn't mention sin. Maybe I was deceived (hopefully not) or maybe God helped me to see His Word as I knew it from reading the Bible rather than what happened on the screen (my mind does tend to fill in the gaps, if there are any). I'm about halfway through the video. Thanks for providing the link.

I don't think the man's theology is flawless, though he raised a number of good points. You're welcome for the link my friend. :) God bless.

Ah, he's starting to get legalistic. I understand the need to bring conviction but still there's not a lot of love here.

I certainly don't agree with every point he is making in this video, and I don't mean to appear as if I directly endorse his opinions, though there are valid points raised about the film if one can drudge through his 'other' opinions.

Ugh. Now he's saying we can't use art to present God's Word? God can't work through non-believers and entertainment to reach people? Now who's adding to His Word? No, I get it, mate. The man's onto something but some of his views really frustrate me. Okay, I'm done with the video. Thanks again.

Well, I haven't seen the film.

I just don't have a lot of confidence in Hollywood...

But yes, God can draw straight lines with crooked sticks...

I watched the video for myself. (Couldn't help it)
But I see where y'all are both coming from and I have to agree with you guys as well.
Personally I don't agree with everything he is saying but he does seem to bring up good points on a lot of things
Thanks for sharing the video! :)

Yeah, it gets really far from perfect lol. But what can we expect, really? Even among us Christians here on CC, aside from undeniable, irrefutable Biblical truth, we can rarely agree on anything. I certainly don't blame you for being frustrated at the obviousness of which he is contradicting himself at times. The guy in the video is about as perfect as the film itself, which is manmade and thus has the capacity to contain error.

Presley: Well, unlike you, not everyone is capable of being discerning about good points in the views of people on opposite sides of a question! :)

Blessings.

Yes. But I aswell got frustrated where Tintin did.
But like you stated, anything manmade has error.
We can't expect anything to not have error other than Gods word.
But it's always interesting to hear others opinions. Even if some are way off.

Presley: This is the whole point about the inerrant and divinely inspired Word of God! :)

Blessings.

I would say in my opinion its worth watching at least once. :)
But I understand not having much confidence in Hollywood.

So I also think it depends on where the widener is coming from. Someone like you or me would definitely have a different view on how the movie is made versus how it should be than say someone who doesn't have a relationship with God. I didn't get to see any of these but when they come out on DVD I'm definitely going to go buy them or ask for them for a birthday present or something.
