Go figure, they didn't like the way their government was preforming and protested. Then they seized and formed CHAZ and it's leaders make the mistake of having disorganized government officials themselves. The next step is that the citizens of CHAZ take to the streets(all six blocks) and protest until the state government surrounding it is forced to come to rescue them from the CHAZ regime.

Not that I have any thing against youth at one time I also was young and no one decides the year they were going to be born,,,but. If a commander of an military force was told to invade a place the first things that would be ask is "what is our exit strategy?" and "what is our resupply strategy?" The reason why is that from the Alamo all the way back to the siege of Jerusalem and farther military's have been surrounded.

It's not that I have disrespect for youth in any means but it is apparent that the ones who planned and executed CHAZ have no exit strategy nor an resupply strategy. It is as if they thought that as in the video games you blindly run shooting and collect points and then you open a box and there is ammunition, food, water ect. All they have to do is surround CHAZ and they will give up. It does not seem to me to be planned by any experienced group but instead on a whim by those who are inexperienced,I pray they don't hurt anyone or that they don't end up hurt themselves. It was over the day it began because it was their best plan.

Your post was interesting, I agree with everything. I've been around the block many many times (we will not discuss age lol) yet I cannot remember seeing anything quite like this. As I previously mentioned I cannot understand the Mayor. They have given them portable bathrooms, food, water, medical and goodness knows what else. Now I understand there is a list given of their additional wants.

On the list was cigarettes, not just cigarettes it was stated "GOOD CIGARETTES" I think my husband said it best when this first started "The more you give into them the more they will want" Quite obviously that's exactly what's happening now. I know I keep saying it but I just don't understand the Mayor and Governor.

Sadly this is no longer about George Floyd. What happened to him was appalling things need to continue to change but between the riots, looting, and deaths now being faced with the happenings in Seattle - enough is enough.

The Governor,Mayor are probably following advice from other authorities(FBI,military ect.) and recognize that they are probably just citizens of Washington and don't wish to harm them. If they give them things they will know how many people are in those six blocks based on the amount of things they ask for and how often. It actually isn't an unwise thing to do what they are doing if you think about it they gain the knowledge of what and who their up against and they are not enraging the protest situation by rushing in with force.

there are homeless people in tent cities already in Seattle.
I think its more the richer people that already have homes that have joined them but if they already have land what they must do is accomodate them in their own homes.

To take over public land though that everyone can use is just part of visibly protesting though it cant work really.

hasnt the govt already given reservation land to people although often they just give the worst land to people and expect them to get by on nothing.

we had something similar in Auckland a few years back and it was the same thing in the city square. But they werent there for long. For one thing, nobody really wants to live in the middle of the city anyway.

First you take away the farms, then you convince everyone to get credit cards and finance things until their in extreme debt. If you fix the economy then they will pay their houses off and get out of debt and the people own those things. If you wait for a disaster, things in the news ect.(they happen every few years anyway) then you can crumble the economy instead of fixing it.

No one will blame it on you because it's natural and has happened multiple times throughout history anyway. When you crumble the economy then the ones that you convinced to finance everything cant pay their notes so you repossess their houses, cars, boats, businesses ect. and resell them after you fix the economy. So you gained the down payments, the notes they paid till they lost those things and you still are in possession of those things. In math the answer is not the problem the solution is.

I'm trying desperately to understand this entire ordeal in Seattle. I'm not there yet with understanding how the Mayor sees this 6 block take-over as a "block party OR Summer of love" I do understand (which I guess is the answer?????) that this is being allowed hoping it will end without force (if police step in it could very easily cause innocents being harmed.) Yet on the other hand this could spread in other cities. As far as this coming to an end soon, one individual armed with an AK47 boldly stated "This is our property and we are not leaving" When I heard him say this, I didn't take it well at all. My thought was "YOUR PROPERTY??" what did you or anyone there contribute to these 6 blocks of property besides taking up residence there. I guess we just wait and see. ok I vented I feel better now thanks for listening :)

It doesn't matter a whole lot because Seattle is radically liberal anyway and Washington is a liberal blue state. Let Bill Gates solve the Seattle problem, maybe invite a few of those hoodlums to live in his own home.

The governor of Washington should immediately cut off all utilities. There is no way that I would provide any food for those loons. One idea is to direct loud irritating non-stop noise into that area. Make it as uncomfortable as you can. Eventually arrest everyone there for trespassing, theft, and vandalism. 30 days in a chain-gang for punishment cleaning up the mess that they made.

Sounds good to me. I'm sure Bill Gates house is big enough AND maybe he could take the entire amount of people in the 6 block area.

You will not understand the foolish. But I know someone living in Washington and he is the same way as to them it is being portrayed as a festival. They literally are clueless of the potential threat, don't care, or maliciously allowing it to happen with a greater agenda.

I don't care if it was peaceful. To do what they have done is in my book a serious offense.

I saw that they wanted more vegan foods, send them plenty of beans and rice, nothing else. They say they need more shelters. It is raining there, so send them plenty of plastic tarps. They want their streets cleaned. Send them plenty of brooms. They say that they need water. Send them some rain buckets. They aren't paying their electric bill. Turn off the electricity. After all they want to be given everything, and not earn anything. Shut off all internet and cellphone services to the area. Finally stop all entry and reentry into the area.

When this is all over, hold each and everyone of them responsible for the damage to the area.
