just because its your right to do something does not make it right action. Abortions are legal are they right?

Disagreeing with a politician is not the same as murdering an innocent life. I never threatened Obama or wished ill on him. I had no idea that I am supposed to agree or shut up.
I guess you feel the Constitution should be amended don't you?

No, I'm just sick of people not getting the care they need. This effects all of us, the world is bigger than any one of us.

I wish we could all get the care we need.
One thing I would like to address that you mentioned earlier is your willingness to help others and donate/volunteer.
That is one thing that ALL of us need to do, and I am happy you are so caring and giving. If more people helped others then welfare would be a thing of the past, but greed and pride has taken over. One both the left and the right and everywhere inbetween.

Do you realize how easy it would have been to give those who are uninsured coverage? Just collect a tax, similar to the Medicare tax, of 1% from employer and employee. Those billions would then be collected by the feds and distributed to the States, who would control their own exchanges, on an "as needed" basis. There was no need for a federal bureaucratic takeover based on a bill that no one voting for had read. But it was not about covering those who need it. It was pure politics. Partisan politics. The result is skyrocketing premiums for the self-employed and small businesses and employers dropping coverage on their part-time workers as well as yet another substantial driver of the national debt. As usual.

I have seen the poverty first hand and it's not a joke. I'm old stock from Texas and I can tell you my people had it good compared to most and that was only because of corruption and screwing others over to survive.

Check out the homes in NY and IL compared to those in Indiana and Texas ;)
Yeah, and look at the loony libtards who run NY and IL. at least in Indiana we are FREE unlike those in NY, we dont have to cower in fear of criminals. we can just shoot them.

And its a small seg in Indiana that makes it look like trash, and ironic they are all democrat voters.

Yes we do have to deal with it and the best way to do that is to vote out corrupt politicians like Obama who ignore the constitution and repeatedly lies to those who elected them!

Obamacare is a total disaster.

Millions have lost their insurance and cannot afford Obamacare.

The uninsured, those Obama wanted to help? They are not signing up for it.

This calculated fraud, was a lie from the beginning, the conservatives told you what it was but you believed the president, who bold faced lied to you.

This was not the usual politicians stretching the truth. This was fraud. Worse than Madoff.

...but...but...Obama feels our pain.

Have you looked at what this compassionate president has done to our economy? 17 Trillion in debt, 7 trillion alone in this adminstration.....and we STILL have high unemployment ( not the stats we were told prior to the election which was yet another bold faced lie ).

Think about that...7 trillion in 6 yrs....thats almost half of the debt the nation has accrued over 200 yrs of being in existance...in one president's term!

What happens when all those worthless monies start hyper inflation?

What happens when the government stops pumping billions into the stock market?

We were promised no loss of jobs...27,000 jobs lost in florida health care workers alone when Obamacare took funds from medicaid.

Unions do not make high wages...they create job loss. That's why they are dieing out.

Look at Greece, heck look at Detroit to see what liberal politics does to economies.

Liberals deem success by how many people are on welfare.

Conservatives find success in how many people are not on welfare.

Compassion without thought brings tyranny. That's liberalism.

The best bumper sticker I ever saw..

I was a democrat, until I got a job.

Lol. Now it's Reagan's fault. My word....
I love America and my favorite President will always be Ronald Reagan!

And, hey, I'm Praus--I'm always delighted to provide history lessons.

"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Ronnie raised taxes 11 times, mostly on the middle class and poor. He was a good actor and that carried over into politics. I was not old enough to know about what he did at the times he did it but I can read a history book and judge for myself. I have seen many of his speeches and they do work, they fool you into thinking he was great!

Huh with the hype about Cuomo, we all know it is (still) Bush's fault.

It's always Bush's fault.

My aunt is a staunch liberal these days. She pulled a real life Moby. She was a life long Rebuplican until around 2008 and then boom, party change. We were discussing the government shutdown a few months ago and I said a few words. I said it's scary how far in debt we are.

She strongly agreed with me, and said that at the end of Bush's term we were 4 trillion in debt. I said yeah, absolutely, but how did we get the number up to 16 trillion. Then she said that's not true. The liberal TV we'd just been watching had just said 16 trillion. Heck, a cursory glance at another liberal news outlet shows that the debt rose 4.8 ish trillion under Bush, and is 4.9 and counting under Obama and that was as of march 2012. That was two years ago.

What do conservatives know though. We're just a bunch of dumb, uneducated yokels.

I learned a long time ago that many liberals hate facts. No matter what truths you show them if they don't want to believe it they won't. IF they can't argue their position they play the blame game, and twist your words which 99% of the time ends up being called a racist.
