Or I could read Scriptures literally where I think the verses are meant to be taken literally, poetically where they are presented that way, and figuratively when a metaphor or analogy is given, and not take it literally, making David an actual apple in God's eye, for instance, as if God had an eye, or Jesus was a wooden door, because He is a gate after all
