Believe it as it is written, it's not that complex if you actually have faith in the Bible, even just a tiny bit of belief. Even what is literal can be a metaphor and what is a metaphor is literal. David was indeed an apple of God's all seeing eyes, Jesus is literally the only door to salvation. The literal husband and wife is a living metaphor for God and the Church. The literal sheep are living metaphors of mankind.
I understand what you are saying, for I can see things on multiple levels and/or perspectives as well, but the problem with your approach is that the Bible does not say the earth is flat. You do, however, interpret it to mean that from what you read, and then claim others are not accepting what Scripture says simply because it is your interpretation that is not accepted by others.

Well you're both little lamb, unless of course you're actually a wolf.

Do I interpret that from what I read or are you trying to interpret it for me?

The Bible says the earth is a circle inscribed upon the face of the waters. Heaven is stretched out above it like a tent. There are waters above the earth and below the earth. Seems fine by me. Remember, scripture is not of private interpretation. You can believe in what the Bible says or you cannot. Your choice I guess.

I have not said it is or isn't. I have said the Bible says it is a circle and heaven is stretched above it like a tent. Do you want some verses on that?

Anywhere I stand on earth, the heavens will be above me. I agree!

There are waters in the northern and southern hemispheres. I agree!

The earth is flat. Um, what? The Bible doesn't say that.
Looks like someone's private interpretation to me :p

Since I'm allegedly appealing to a higher authority. Have you put on a uniform and gone to a Middle Eastern where is a hundred and thirty degrees outside and then shot at? no?...neither have i.... so when someone who has expresses an opinion on such matters then I tend to respect his opinion.....just sayin

I guess I'm a little more selective than you as to whose opinion I put stock in. And I don't know your friend and I'm certainly not gonna take a guy whose own words have been all over the map about all kinds of things about what his alleged friend says. Lucky you. You get the distinction of being a guy whose opinion I don't trust.

I think it's time to stop beating a dead horse. The best thing to do is to let him fade into the Jesse Jackson world.

It'll be easy....cuz the left makes it that way. At this point in the game if Trump fails to raise employment, lower the debt, unite the good people of America, restore law and order, clean up our military from all naked photo sharing debauchery and pregnancies and peter tuckers, make the do nothing congress do something for the American people for a change....it'll be because of people like you who oppose him and spread the lies and propaganda about him.
