The reason everyone is freaking out is because it is NEW and in certain countries the speed of the spread has overwhelmed hospitals.....but taken with the FACT that MANY have gotten it with little to no symptoms, the amount of those recovered.....it just really seems to be sensationalised a bit.....YES it is bad for the elderly and those compromised by smoking etc........

Fox news just said 214,000 world wide known cases.......and a far greater number had it or carried it with little to no symptoms....SO.....in reality this is NOT as bad as they are making out (not saying it is not bad for those hospitalised or those who have died)

JUST that this is being really played UP it seems even though the FLU is just as bad if the NUMBERS are really applied with math....
the death rate no but all nations have it and yes the flu and other contagious diseases do have a lot more deaths, but unlike the flu say you may have it and I am next to you but I don’t get it that really isn’t what is happening with this virus yes some have been exposed and not have the virus but the majority who get exposed get it.

As far as the U.S. there will be a vast increase in reported cases along with others countries the death rate will drop compared to the survival rate

I have said that if one takes the over all percentage as compared to the world population is is not a very high number.....many other diseases and viruses kill way more people yearly and yet people do not freak out....notice that the number of those recovered is not being mentioned that much....also I read reports from AU on the fact that the meds used for malaria and one aids drug kills the virus in minutes in a dish also how 1 dose of the med used for malaria can KEEP someone from getting the virus....also all of the promising so called vaccines and how numerous companies have made them but it TAKES xxxxxx time to actually distribute them......all my friends believe this is a power grab and a way to go cashless and implement a loss of freedom....something sinister......and out of all of this...NOTICE what we are NOT HEARING about

NOTHING about the locust plague, nothing about China, nothing about the conflict between Russia and Saudi Arabia and their dispute over oil production, nothing about the increasing conflict between Pakistan and India, and MANY other world changing events.........

MOST people are recovering from this virus and MANY have a very mild to manageable reaction to it.....the numbers are NOT very high when compared to other sicknesses such as the flu, malaria etc.......
Definitely a lot of other things happening not being covered especially around oil etc.,

Also definitely a way to drive up government debt which is a huge problem.

Definitely a power grab for sure!!!
Martial law will come to Canada in the next few weeks

For sure there are promising treatments.

But the transmission rate on this virus is not like the flu... it increases exponentially so it is a moving target that will not be seasonal, it will be waves like the Spanish Flu.

But just from the people side....

The problem is not only virus itself which has about a 2% mortality rate in fairly good systems but the ability of the health care system to manage the number as they increase.

There are not enough beds, not enough medical supplies for the health care workers, nor enough ventilators etc.,
As well other illness will not be able to be treated, so we have collateral damage.

If not contained then it spreads, no way around that... even at 2% percent mortality rate of 337 000 million people in the USA is a lot of people.

I think for the USA the economy will be ruined, liberty lost and a lot of people are still going to die.. but maybe I am wrong time will tell.

I was pretty gentle ... :)

I’ve only had the flu maybe twice or three times in my whole life I don’t get the flu shot and I don’t get the flu often can’t remember the last time I had it, but this is a little different, I’m leaning towards this not being a natural event more like something that got out of lab. To think nations don’t test and create viruses for testing purposes or even biological stuff I would be ignorant not creating conspiracy here but nations do create things like biological weapons there is a treaty but most know it isn’t always followed.

All that is about to change we are on top of it now may have been a little slow at first but it’s i full swing now, both comfort ships have been deployed, the army core engineers have begun building temporary stations for the influx of patients.

the 2% is a guess at this point not fact because it’s early and more cases are coming in, and some recent reports says 1.4 and could be as low as .4

way way to early to be projecting millions and millions dead

I hope your country has imployed private laboratories to join the testing as well it is needed from the government to the private sector. this will be known but the sheer increase of numbers by countries who are using every resources in their country

It’s not to scare people with mass increase in cases known it is to know the extent of the infected

lets hope so.

About numbers

I’m not 100% sure on any numbers though, for one they say about 40 milion Americans get the flu each years yet I haven’t had the flu in a very long time, not sure why but if that has been the case for decades you would think I’d get it every other year or in three or five years.

now I just jinxed myself lol

2% death rate is rather a very optimistic projection. China has had 4% death rate and Italy about 8% death rate so far. As soon as the health system is saturated forget about the 2% death rate ... It is definitively not too early to talk about millions of dead as shown by the UK report...

All the data is stilling being compiled, now the countries with over 100 reported deaths rate is dropping because the numbers of cases are increasing as of right now the U.S. is leading as far as total deaths because cases reported to deaths rate is not the truly picture.

when your dealing with counting numbers while the pandemic is unfolding you will see quite a few changes in charts. it is not easy to track so you got keep an open point of view on the numbers as they are being calculated

the numbers are all over the place, it hasn’t settled down yet and these charts will change again and again. You can not focus on one percentage mark they are changing by the hour

The irony here and I am thinking @7seasrekeyed would agree, is that we as woman are the ones actually strong enough to look at this

ordeal in the face whereas you at every turn deny and call it a "hoax"

Think on that for a while!
This is what I'm saying .. I can't be afraid like you seem to be, I can't think like that if I wanted to.. Men don't think that way .. I believe there is a cold or flue going around but I also think the fake news and demlibs are lying about it and causing confussion .. They are not my God, they are proven liars who have an agenda ..

These are old data (March 6) we are now March 18, an eternity for the COVID-19 pandemic. Roughly ten times more death today.

Percentage is not really the most critical issue ... In fact, stay home to save life and not kill your love ones...

If 60 000 million contracted H1N1 in 2008 -09 which was not as transmissible definitely this virus will travel a lot further, H1N1 had a much lower mortality rate than this one.

We may never know how many are infected since so many do not get sick or have mild symptoms.

As well mortality is not an isolated variable it is connected to the level of care

So about 150 ? Do you know the % of deaths by abortion in comparison ? imo if you can spread this NV without any symptoms then it's over before it begins .. You can't go to work, watch the ball games, go out to eat, anything else but sit home and watch CNN .. And You Tube is censored up to it's neck for 3 yrs now getting worse .. It's not only isolation it is captivity over another nothing burger ..
