Dcontroversal ? Question for you. Did you hear on the news the Pope is
not well ? Am wondering what that is all about? I have a couple of theories.
But am hoping to hear what this is leading up to.

Thomas may be right. Maybe HE is not the one. But, I believe HE is the
one to either lead the way to the One Religion Order, or something super
natural is going to happen to make him revered even more.

Also, had you heard he has more non-catholic believers / followers than
Catholic ?
Thoughts on any of this, or are you going to be like a WISE male who
does not say what he thinks because you will wait and see ? Females
are more likely to speak what they see in the spirit as a possibility.

Thanks.
I personally believe he will be the false prophet and is beginning to fulfill that role already by uniting Islam and so called Christianity......

As far as his health I have heard that too, but sick men have the ability to linger a long time and seeing how the false prophet is the one who makes and empowers the image it seems he will be supernaturally empowered by Satan himself which would seem to override any sickness or weakness he may possess right now....

I really believe we are down to months or less before el crapo begins to hit the proverbial fan......July -September will tell a lot about the direction that the world is headed in....and then again it will all be according to God's time scale....

Thanks... I am aware of satans ability to empower the body of the man who
yields to his evil plan he has established. I was thinking out loud about his
preparing the way for one we would not recognize. However he has shown
all signs of being the ONE. I know it has been said anti-christ will receive
a head wound and die, and be revived when satan takes over his body to
fulfill his end time duties.

Curious about July and / or Sept. I must have missed something somewhere.

Hey sister a couple of things to note....

who ever the beast/little horn/anti-Christ is we must remember the following...

The beast that John SAW ascended OUT OF THE PIT...remember..
1. Was<--past tense
2. IS NOT<----present tense when John penned Revelation
3. AND SHALL ASCEND OUT OF THE PIT and go into APOLLOYON<---Future tense and a name...not descriptive as it usually is miss-applied unto the word (destruction) which is what the word means, but here is used as a NAME

The July thru September thing is a seeming fit time frame based upon what is happening as a good indicator of where the age is going...as in down!

Rev. 9:
1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

"Dcontroversal " is this what you are referring too ?

That is part of it, but the particular verse I was referencing was Revelation 17:8

The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition (Apolloyon); and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet IS.

Revelation 17:8 ( partial explanation )
Our LibraryCommentariesA Testimony of Jesus ChristRevelation 17

[h=1]Revelation 17:8[/h]

The beast that you saw
In the explanation which follows, it is important to remember that the Beast is both a king and a kingdom. This characteristic is evident from a study of various passages concerning the Beast, for example: “I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn [an individual] was speaking; I watched till the beast [the fourth terrible kingdom] was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame” (Dan. Dan. 7:11). See commentary on Revelation 13:1. See The Beast. See #16 - Beast.

was and is not and will ascend . . . go to perdition
This is an important verse because it gives us information concerning the four phases of the life of The Beast who eventually rules the seventh head at the time of the end:
  1. was - His original political appearance and rise (Dan. Dan. 9:26-27).
  2. is not - His death by a mortal wound (Zec. Zec. 11:17?; Rev. Rev. 13:3+).
  3. will ascend - His miraculous recovery (Rev. Rev. 13:3+).
  4. to perdition - His destruction at the hands of Christ at the Second Coming (Dan. Dan. 7:11; Dan. 11:45; Rev. Rev. 19:19+).
At his ascent, he overthrows the two witnesses (Rev. Rev. 11:7+). His victory over them and his miraculous restoration result in his global worship (Rev. Rev. 13:3-4+). This occurs at the midpoint of The 70th Week of Daniel. See Events of the 70th Week of Daniel. See The Timing of His Ascent.

out of the bottomless pit
Bottomless pit is ἀβύσσου [abyssou] , the abyss, a compartment deep within the earth which serves as a holding place for demons. See commentary on Revelation 9:1. His ascent from the abyss is yet future to the time of John’s vision and denotes his revival from the dead and possibly his demonic possession (cf. Luke Luke 22:3; John John 13:27). See Supernatural Origin? When the Beast ascends out of the abyss, he will overcome the two witnesses (Rev. Rev. 11:7+). The destruction of these two powerful prophets together with his return from the dead will seal his worship by the earth dwellers. This probably occurs at the midpoint of The 70th Week of Daniel when he proclaims himself as God. See Events of the 70th Week of Daniel. Roughly speaking the mortal stage [before his deadly wound] would fill the first half of the last of “the seventy weeks” (i.e. , the first 3 1/2 years of Dan. Dan. 9:27); and the superhuman stage [after his revival and ascent from the abyss] would occupy the last half. But there is nothing to show us what length of time will run between his rise and his assassination. Neither can we say exactly how long the time will be between his death-stroke and his reappearance.[SUP]1[/SUP]

Thank you for sharing this, J-Kay-2. I'm amazed that these folks think the Pope worshiping another god, or that the murderers of Christians around the world should be welcomed to the Vatican, is no big deal. Anyone who has the smallest understanding of Biblical prophecy will understand the significance. I hope more people educate themselves.

I know the Lord is coming soon. We have all signs... A matter of when...
This the one thing we have to keep in the forefront, and thank you for
agreeing. God bless... We will proclaim Jesus Christ is King of Kings
and Lord of Lords. Bless His Holy name... Thank you Mrs. RoseTreasure.

When the destroyer comes his name in Hebrew is ABADDON and his GREEK name IS APOLLOYON

I don't use commentaries and some of what is said above is wrong.......as the beast/ two witnesses/ great tribulation all take place during the 1260 day Great Tribulation period.....

Perdition comes from apoleian and = destruction
Apollyon comes from Apolluon and = a destroyer
7th seal...announcement of God's wrath and the time to destroy those who are actively destroying the earth
The beast that was, is not and shall ascend out of the Bottomless PIT<---what's this and go into destruction.....
Pit comes from frehar...uncertain origin...a hole, pit, cistern, well, an abyss (as a prison)

How would you describe the BOTTOMLESS PIT? What do we equate the bottomless pit with?

Just a few points to ponder....

I do believe the guy will conquer, take a head shot, stand up empowered and possessed by Satan and then lead the world to hell....

The beast is the destroyer, he actively destroys, his name means the destroyer and he is destroyed....my problem is the grammar as in...

The beast that thou sawest which was, is not and shall ascend out of HELL? (bottomless pit) and go into destruction (hell)

The beast was taken ALIVE and cast into the LAKE of Fire......

A lot to take in for sure.....

[/FONT]I missed this....LAST.... so, I am giving YOU the space to prove my article as being satirical.
Surprises are in store for those who will not listen to truth.
He is traveling and making peace so there will be unity for the One World Order. Keep eyes
open. And, watch for new developments I post. Thanks....
There was no third Vatican Council and everything that was said about it was false. It is obvious that it is being satirical.

Catholics around the world are the ones being murdered by Muslims while Americans continue to do nothing but make the situation worse.

I HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE BEHOLDEN TO THE POPE - NOT EVEN THE CURRENT POPE. I answer only to God. Yes, I used all caps for a reason. The Protestant side of the Christian world should rise up and JUST SAY NO!!!

I guess you missed the part where this whole report was false right? The original story was written on a satire site and ignorant fear-mongers at nowtheendbegins.com were dumb enough to think it was legitimate.
Hi Nautilus, oh no I know that the diversity Chronicle article is satirical, I fully accept that but I am referring to the popes recent sojourn into the field of ecumenism re his invitation to the Vatican, not the aforementioned article. I do believe that the pope is intentionally or not playing an active part in the coming One World religion but you know what, I only mention about it to try to shine some light on these events and the Roman Catholic true agenda, for the likes of our fellow poster ThomistColin. The Church will be gone by the time the Antichrist is active on the world stage so it will not effect Christians anyway. There are many good, well meaning but deceived people within the RCC and they need to know that the religion they follow has a key role in the unfolding of the End times and it has been prophesied that Rome will rise again under Satan's control.

People put too much stock in the power and influence of the Catholic Church. All of the old Catholic countries in Europe have basically become atheist, Protestantism (especially of the Charismatic variety) is gaining huge ground in former Catholic stronghold South America, Catholicism in the United States is in a decline, Weekly mass attendance in Ireland ("the most Catholic country") has fallen from over 90% in the 1980's to 18% in 2011. People act like the Catholic Church is our biggest enemy when it's barely a blip on the radar in this day and age. Just look at the high rates of Millennials leaving evangelical churches and declaring themselves 'no religion'. They aren't leaving for the Catholic Church, they are leaving for secularism. While we keep obsessing over the Catholics our young people are basically becoming, at the very least, apathetic about religion, and at the worst, atheists.

Where do you guys find this crap? A unification of Christendom would be glorious. In fact, Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Francis just announced an ecumenical council meeting in 2025, 1700 years after Nicea. He has never advocated a one world religion. An end to the Great Schism, however, has been sought since the Great Schism.
Yeah it's great that the FreeMason "patriarch" Bartholomew and 'pope' Francis are going to unite. Bartholomew has no intention of accepted the innovations of Rome (unless only in name as to advance his power) And Bartholomew is fine with abortion if the child will be mental or disabled in anyway. I didn't know that the RCC didn't consider its 'faith' to be unnecessary for union. Then again the Coptic "catholics' have heresy in their liturgy just as the Monophysites do. All you have to do is commemorate their 'pope' and have official communion with him and you are united and in the Church.

We, the TRUE Orthodox, will not commemorate a heretical 'pope' of ROme we will not commune with him nor will we 'unite' with him for the 'peace' of the world. However, we pray for his conversion to the Orthodox Catholic Faith. If he accepts the Faith, then we will be compelled to enter into communion with him after he is received by Holy Baptism and Chrismation. It would be wonderful to have the Western Patriarchate restored. (A great day that I pray and hope will come, hopefully in my lifetime.)

You are correct. But this main threat is because of the so-called 'christians' who confess ecumenism and religious pluralism. These heresies have done more to corrupt the young then any heresy before them.

Ooooooooo...Two baptisms? Thats a bit wrong. That was answered prior to our Schism by St. Augustine of Hippo.

As for the Ecumenical Council in 2025, its supposed to bring the Patriarchate of Greek Orthodoxy, Serbian Orthodoxy, Syrian Orthodoxy, Russian Orthodoxy (They've already declined) and the Roman Catholic Church together to again discuss the possiblity of reunification. Just as the Council of Lyons in the 1200s, which fell flat due to the death of St. Thomas Aquinas and the poisoning of St. Bonaventura.
