He'd probably become a Chrislamite
Mt 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

I wonder how the 'orthodox' Islamists are taking this? Is this an equal slide from the other side into one big religious mush?
I heard it's part of the westernized Jihad..appear peaceful, establish mosque, gain followers, slowly train warriors and sleeper cells.....but i put trust in God and know His will will be done.

Not sure if there is truth or not to the accusations but they put forth a strong case.

Im not sure why anyone would think idolatry would be a part of Gods will.

But this whole "give peace a chance" thing is getting pretty old. Not only are people afraid to talk out against a doctrine that outright denies Christ as Lord and Savior because they are afraid of looking "mean", but theyre even willing to pray to the Muslim god in order to look......I dunno, accepting?

I always think these people are more worried about being accepted by the world over being devoted to the Lord when I hear about these kinda things. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, prophecised by His prophets in Israel to come and be our King, to be worshiped forever. Why on earth would we honor a god who tells us he was nothing but some messenger?
If we are followers of Christ, then we should be aware that we will not be friends of the world. We cant both agree with God and agree with what the secular world wants.

Maybe there is a bit more life over here.

PCUSA Assembly Lifts Up Muslim Prayers to Allah – Polemics Report

"The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) offered prayers to the Islamic deity, Allah. The prayer was led by a representative of the Muslim community on behalf of the Presbyterian Assembly. The representative, Wallid Said, prayed…

“Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path – the path of all the prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad.”
The Islamic prayer was the the first order of business for the assembly. The prayer was arranged by the Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry staff for the PCUSA. They apparently got what the asked for. The full transcript is as follows:
“Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path – the path of all the prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. Peace be upon them all Amen.
“In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful, let us praise the Lord. The creator of the universe, the most merciful, the most compassionate and the Lord of the universe who has created us and made us into nations and tribes, from male and females that we may know each other, not that we might despise each other, or may despise each other. Incline towards peace and justice and trust in God, for the Lord is one that hears and knows everything and the servants of God, the most compassionate, the most merciful, gracious are those who walk in the earth in humility and when bigots and hateful and Islamaphobes address them, they say peace. Peace be upon them and peace be upon Allah.”

(You can see the prayer at the 14 minute mark on the video).

The clerk of the general assembly apologized later in the day, having heard that “some” were offended by the prayer. He apologized, stating that it was not their goal to offend anyone.
Whether the clerk offered a private apology to God for offending Him with the stench of unjustifiable blasphemy is unknown, but no public apology to the Almighty was made."

This is the fruit of those who turn their back on God's Word!
PCUSA went from a wonderful institution that shared the Gospel with the world to just another asylum of liberal decay. Years ago I was midway through the ordination process with the PCUSA but went off on the leaders because of their wretched ungodliness. With that, my process was over. Seems God vindicated me yet once again.

While I agree it is insanity to pray to the satanic god of islam if just one of the lost muslims come to Christ and is saved I think it's great. I do not in any way, shape or form condone allowing satanic prayers in church, just saying that even through this idiotic behavior God can still work out someone's salvation.
Muslims come to Christ through an Islamic prayer? That's like winning the lottery with losing numbers. Ain't happening.

I'm not sure why some folks are so accepting whenever it comes to that religion. Sometimes I think that they are afraid. I have to admit, that I don't like the thought of saying anything negative about that religion, because it'll get me into trouble faster than greased lightning...on one hand they that are worshipping that god will get violently mad at me, and on the other hand, people from my own culture will get mad at me, because that religion is not eligible for criticizm...

Bottom line, I don't necessarily think people are that accepting of that religion, but the people that brought it with them are behaving so violently that people don't dare saying anything that can upset them, and they really are a narcissistic bunch of people. I for sure aint gonna say anything...being a woman makes me an easy target...in fact...we have actually been taking home the bullies from school and they are exploiting our hospitality by trashing our homes...

John Knox would be rising from his.
Undead John Knox?! Does he still wield a claymore and throw Catholic icons into the abyss?

If so, where can find him that I may be an officer in his zombie horde?

That's all you need to say when discussing liberals. PCUSA leaders are liberals; its that simple.
No doubt.

There is a huge difference between the Presbyterian Church in the USA (PCUSA) and the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) that people should be aware of. They are as different as night and day.

I'm so confused. Their denominational name is so very similar. But it sounds like their key doctrines are decidedly different.

You should be confused. And it's a real shame that it has come to this. I doubt there are many who can discern the differences between all of the splinters.

It starts with their approach to the Bible. The conservative sect says it IS God's Word, the liberal sect says it CONTAINS God's Word...it goes downhill from there.

Yes. It started when they left Biblical truth behind in favor of the world's truth. The final straw being the whole homsexuality thing. And that is not limited to only the Presbyterian church.

Video: Shocking footage emerges of Taliban stoning couple to death - Telegraph

A government official has condemned the execution, which took place in August 2010 in the district of Dashte Archi, in Kunduz.

“It is against all human rights and international conventions. There was no court,” he said.

Stoning is outlawed in Afghanistan, but Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said: “Stoning is in the Koran, it is Islamic law.”

Sharia prescribes punishments such as stoning, lashings, amputations and execution.

Excerpt from article

People can misuse the Bible too, but Islam was given by a deceiving spirit that twisted God's gospel of grace back to a chain of laws and works.

True, but it looks like the PCUSA is the first to give approval to prayers to Allah...and most likely won't be the last.
